An incredibly charming and cute little game. It really does feel like you are on a journey exploring a mysterious world. The creatures you interact with, the abilities you slowly acquire in each part of the game, and the companion who stays with you throughout makes this an awesome little gem. The puzzles are good, but are rather simple. There were a few that had me stumped but I am terrible at puzzles and figured it out eventually.

I did play with a controller and have played on PC, Xbox, and PS and it plays great on all systems. The soundtrack is also great with awesome sound across the board.
Definitely worth checking it out if any of the trailers/gameplay interested you.

So if your one of those people who are like “just one more turn, just one more and that’s it” and you also wish to start a real life, like go out in the real world, find a significant other, have kids, get a job, etc….. just go do cocaine.

Literally, this game is crack. I have not even gotten more than 1-2 hours in Civ VI because I am still stuck in this game building my US empire and ensuring world domination (also, screw Gandhi for wanting to nuke me!).

Overall, take it for what it is, as another turn based 4X game that makes you wonder if starting a cocaine habit would be a better fit for your real-world life……

I am replaying it on PC after having played it a lot on consoles. It is such a great AC game. i know some people do not like the RPG elements and it definitely is more akin to an Action RPG, but I did have fun with it. I also love the Egyptian theme and elements of this game.

Of course there are a bunch of checklist items on the map, and I do some, but I mostly play the side quest and main story. Overall, I actually enjoyed this one much more than Odyssey since Odyssey is OK, but mostly all filler. I believe this one has much better characters and more enjoyable side quest.

I have still have enjoyed my year long play though of Odyssey though (seriously, it is OK but wayyy too long), but AC: Origins is my favorite so far out of the new AC RPG reboots.

Overall, if you have played a paradox building type of game (Surviving Mars, Cities Skylines, etc) then you will be somewhat familiar with this one. It is their take on surviving the apocalypse with the mechanics/game play of Cities Skylines. It is simple to pick up and has enough depth to keep you busy for learning/mastering it.

There are many types of buildings to construct, a large map to explore, and interactive enemies and random events to make decisions on. The game also has random apocalyptic events like meteorites, plague, ice storms and others.

I also love the controller layouts of Paradox games. I mostly play with the controller with it being more comfortable and ergonomic, but keyboard and mouse work great too. Always amazing controls with the controller on Paradox games where after an hour or so it will be effortless.

The only thing I would recommend would be better graphics, more variety of animations, building designs, and a few more random events for villagers.

I really enjoy paradox simulation games and I have played countless hours on the console and really enjoying it on PC too. I highly recommend if you have enjoyed other Paradox games like Cities and Surviving Mars.

Ummm this game is soo damn addictive I hate it and love it at the same time. I have played a lot..... too much I will admit on Xbox and now I re-purchased it again on Steam. I think meth might be easier to break the addiction....

The game is so simple, yet has quite a bit of strategy involved if you want to max out your play throughs. Multiple characters with different skill sets and tons of unlocks and secretes. Again, you should think about starting meth instead since you can at least live in the real world.

So I have beaten this game on both consoles, and I really enjoyed it. Is it astounding and incredible? No, is it a triple A blockbuster, no. However, it is a good space arcade game with an OK story. I mainly was drawn in by the trailer focusing on the game play and weird story. I try to take games for what they are and not what I want/what I believe they should be etc. This game overall is a fun 20-35 hour arcade experience that if you just sit back and relax and have fun, the weird story and game play you might find fun.

Also, I will admit, it gets annoying with the encounters interrupting characters dialogue while exploring and wish they would finish dialogue before a random encounter occurs. Definitely check out some gameplay/trailers and if it interests you, you might enjoy it.

An OK game overall and it plays great on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

By now the legendary edition is out, but I still like to play the original before new remaster/remake releases. This game is an awesome achievement in story telling and character choices. It also has an amazing soundtrack and side missions that are interesting and expand your arsenal to boot. Overall, highly recommend. Also, you can obtain all the prior DLC for free to boot.

I am replaying it on PC having finished it on console. It is actually a good game and is what I expected. The melee system is a little clunky at times with multiple enemies but works well with single encounters. A little tweak like a dodge indicator for multiple enemies similar to Shadow of Mordor/War, Batman Arkham series, and other similar melee combat games and the combat would be fluid. The story, settings, art direction, and atmosphere are good. The animations are the best I have ever seen and Striking Distance truly made use of their Mo-Cap studio. This is possibly the most Next-Gen game I have played by far. People also complained it was short, but I prefer shorter, story focused games than a bunch of item collecting/filler on a large map (very few of those checklist games I even completed 100%). It took me about 11.5 hours to finish and it felt fine in length to me.

It is a demanding game on hardware and I did have a very bad issue with stutter for a bit, but the Dec 15th, 2022 update the game has been running perfectly. Running AMD 2700X with nVidia 2070 and game is playing fine. Watch a couple of gameplay videos if your unsure, but it was a great experience overall for me.

The performance on console is good too, however, this game is an experience on next-gen hardware. I am surprised they made it for older systems. I know because of funding and capitalizing on as much market share as possible, but this game I do highly, highly recommend playing on next-gen systems.

Love the game since I have played it on Xbox. Everyone says another souls like, which is true (I mean everyone is making them and even FromSoftware has just made the same game over the years). The combat is still great and the story is awesome. I really do love this developer with Godfall and now Steelrising being unique story driven games. I think the combat is more fun/faster than other souls like games since most souls games are good, but I feel they are sluggish. I appreciate the developer trying something new and speeding up the combat in this game. I like how they are trying new things and want to keep supporting them. Keep up the good work everyone!

I am still leaving my previous experience in the below if others have issues, but it was my PC. It is the new year and my PC has been slower from the Windows 11 upgrade and I decided to do a clean install. Fully formatted/cleaned my PC and re-installed the drivers and the game is working just fine now with almost consistent 60 FPS with nVidia recommended settings. I also do not have Norton 360 installed anymore along with Denuvo games cleaned up. Not sure which of these issues could have been causing the performance issues, but it is now working.

This was the PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE with the prior Windows 11 Upgrade, Norton 360 installed, and also games using Denuvo installed (usually Denovo only affects the running game, but it does install rootkit type of code which might cause issues too? Not verified and just guessing). The performance is terrible. I barely hit 30 FPS with all settings on medium/low with an AMD 2700X, nVidia 2070, and 32 GBs of DDR3 3200 RAM to boot (maybe it is because I am running Windows 11?). Updated all of my drivers, and still no luck on better performance. I am not sure if it is just such a demanding game, or just not fully optimized for different configurations out there. Just wait for more updates or play on console if you can.

An astounding puzzle game. This game is not a shooter but more akin to Myst and Dark Souls combined. It is tough (at least for me it was). The combat is hit and run type tactics, and the puzzles boggled my mind somewhat. I played on Xbox and Steam and both editions were awesome. I highly recommend if it piqued your interest and you enjoy Myst type games.
