Refunded (bought for $15)

Plagued with technical issues.
Can't turn off motion blur.
Can't turn off auto-adjust camera.

All enemies have poise so the game gets boring quickly.

Beautiful game, ran just fine for me as well.

My main issue is the majority of the play-through was just searching for locations. The maps are like a maze and the game is a puzzle of trying to find your way through it without dying. The game took me 9 hours to complete, and it would've taken about 3 hours if the reasonable pathways weren't blocked, either by obstructions or just completely arbitrarily cause you're only allowed to open around 5% of the doors. I really dislike the level design and it ruins the game for me. I got lost so many times. I spent an hour looking for the entrance to the final boss room, only to realize there was a lever 30 paces in front of the gate (most levers to open gates are located right to the side of the gate)

I leave some thoughts here to warn other players. I personally requested a refund.

a) The game runs poorly. By poorly, I mean terribly. Even if you have the minimum specs and you turn Ultra-Performance on, the game will struggle with 20fps when you get to Paris. And it is not like it is a "graphic powerhouse". I've seen better looking games from five years ago that use half the graphic power that this steam-engine of a game needs.

b) The fighting is mediocre. Especially in the beginning where you make decisions that will affect your gameplay. E.g. I picked the soldier class. The soldiers have this halberd that is painfully slow. With no animation canceling (as it is custom in soulslike games), I was a sitting duck most of the time and the only viable strategy was to hit once - NEVER MANAGING TO LAND A SECOND BLOW - and then dodge. Later in the stage I got another weapon that was faster and made things easier, but I wish I knew that earlier so I could choose something else

c) Locking is mandatory. You can't hit ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING if you're not locked into it. Which means that you will be attacked from behind regularly, since you have no way of knowing where your enemies are. On one on one it's ok, but when 2 or 3 enemies gather, it's really hard to keep them all in sight.

d) Bad upgrading and bad menus. It is really hard to navigate and know what each thing does and when it comes to upgrading in a bonfire statue, you don't know what upgrade to pursue as there are attributes, weapons, tools and some more to upgrade.

To be honest I like Spiders as developers. I know that all their games are janky, but they have a certain charm. This one has it too, and it has some good ideas, but the game gets hostile to you really quick and those terrible performance issues (that still aren't fixed) finally put me off. Steer Clear.
