Its fun

Its a great Bethesda game! Expecting it to not play similarly to any other Bethesda game is disingenuous. It is a fun adventure featuring quirky characters and an alright story. The game shines on its side quests, which should come as no surprise to veterans of this developer. Ship designing is so well done; lots of options and you can really come up with some cool ships! If you like classic sandbox in the vein of Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout, then this game is for you! Also, it is surprisingly polished!

Pros:

Stability - Game Runs Great. Bugs are few and far inbetween
Gunplay - Shooting in 1st and 3rd person is great. Weapon customization is wonderful. Akin to Fallout 4.
Characters - Balanced between quirky, fun, and serious. No surprises from the developer here.
Character Customization - Very detailed character customization. Can recreate your appearance in any city for cheap!
Starship Building - In depth and detailed. Can come up with wild designs!
Starship Combat - Very fun in both POVs. Synergy between different weapon types is done well
Side Faction Quests - Great stories and characters alike, with your own ways on how to handle things.
Skill Tree - A majority of the skills are super cool, and the way to level them is immersive! Really great job here!

Mid:

Main Story - Is alright, but introduces some cool companions

Cons:

Melee Combat - Only 9 types of weapons and inability to mod/customize melee weapons
Gas Giants - Cant land on them, WTF Bethesda!?
Respec - Cant respec skills, but also with how you level them, it would be difficult to do anyways.

Havent Touched Outpost building, however the game doesnt force it down your throat either if you were worried about that.

Definitely a buy if you like Bethesda games, or sandbox exploration. Dont buy if you are only looking for some deep world-shattering story.

Fun space game is fun. Very relaxing. Love the atmosphere (haha)

Its fun. It gets old, but Im sure ill go back to it. Its as if Kenshi had a story, which is nice, but I never felt the FEAR I felt while playing Kenshi.
