This game is worth the money. All of the negative reviews are mostly focused on queue times. While I can respect and understand your frustration, it is next to impossible to know exactly how many people will be playing at launch. The comments about Amazon and AWS are ridiculous and I'm going to go out on a ledge and assume these people know nothing about cloud infrastructure, capacity and scalability planning. Barring that, the performance of the game thus far has been pretty damn good for launch. The game is fun, the combat system is nice. It is also nice to have some creative control on how your character progresses through the game. I have yet to go to war or engage in PVP as I want to continue to enjoy myself. Once I feel I have a more detailed grasp on everything I will dig into the PVP. Right now, I am having fun doing the quests and exploring. Also, queue times have not been that bad for me. Roughly a 15 minute wait during peak times.

UPDATE: 5,034 hours into this game and I can safely say, that the devs should abandon this game and its community. That is all. This game is not even a mere shadow of what it used to be thanks to making it F2P. I'm still not going to stop.

3,725 hours of relentless sucking. No, this time it's not a mom joke. THIS IS ROCKET LEAGUE.

It's either really sad that I STILL play this game after all the time I have spent being terrible at it or I just need like 30 more minutes until I finally get the hang of it. Either way. I'm not going to stop.

It's an amazing game. I've been reading the reviews (mostly neg.) and I must admit I have a EVGA Classified GTX 980 ti and have zero graphical issues. No drops in framerate, etc. Functionality is the most important aspect of a game, so if it's broken for you... my apologies because you're truly missing out on a wonderful piece of art. Is it the BEST game in the galaxy? Perhaps not, but I can visit any number of galaxies in No Man's Sky to get a different opinion. OVerall this game is about an 8/10 for me. I severely dislike survival games that are MMO based. I'm glad this is NOT set in a MMO world. I absolutely love the fact that I have to interact with the environment and learn new things to obtain new tech, keep my suit, tools and ship functional etc. I learned that feeding the wildlife encourages them to help you find special materials. I'm exploring and I'm enjoying it. To the people complaining about repetition; exploration is repetitive to some extent and I've vistied three or four different planets and found the plant and wildlife entirely different. I visited a planet comprised mostly of water with islands scattered few and far between covered in ice. Needless to say, a very cold climate and wildlife that you'd expect to see in such a place. It's going to be a challenge for me to stop playing this game because it is very immersive and captivating. That being said, to those of you unable to play, I agree, that's poor optimization. However, if you were able to play, you'd find a very amazing piece of work to enjoy.

Shaping up to be one of the best builder games ever. No seriously; EVER. I typically hate games like this, but for some reason I forgot to sleep while playing this. TWICE. 6 hours at a time. I've dedicated myself to building a huge mothership. There's not a whole lot of items you can build with, but your imagination drives what you can do with them. And if you've looked this game up, you'll see that there's plenty of crazy things you can do. I don't even care if I'm fragging anything playing this. I'm alone in a cartoon world; Don't care. I'm short, fat and have orange hair. Still don't care. I can BUILD THINGS!!! And so can you, while avoiding sleep. Buy this game. NAOW!

Ark. Don't buy it. Ever.

"look, I'm stranded on an island naked" *you're cold* "I'd better go find some plants to harvest so I can make me some clothes!"

"look a dodo" *punch* "look a dead dodo" *you're STILL cold*

wait for a bit.....

*you defecated* "wonder what this tastes like?"

IT TASTES LIKE DISAPPOINTMENT FROM BUYING THIS GAME.

Hide in a Garage Simulator 2016:

Battle Royale is great. I geared up, I hid in a garage behind a van; gun at the ready. Toxic gas? Yes, toxic gas was released which forces the players to a centralized area called a safe zone, though it's not really safe at all. Like in real life, I ran in the wrong direction and choked on the gas. I made it to number 7 out of 40 players and all I did was hide. Real life simulation 11/10. Gameplay 6/10... How much fun did I have? TONS... I'm not sure why hiding was so much fun really? However, I managed to kill a couple zombies during my "toxic gas panic" so, yes, I would recommend this game just for the Battle Royale feature.

The actual survival game? Meh. I ran into a dude after 11 minutes who was fully armed (again, I was hiding in a garage in the dark) he says to me "whoa whoa whoa, we're cool" as if he's not going to kill me. I had just picked up frag grenades from the car I was hiding behind and I could have easily killed him. I decided to trust him... and got an arrow to the face. Not the knee, THE FACE. Real life simulation 11/10. Trusting someone you know is going to kill you -10/10...

I do think this game has great potential, and while it's not the BEST game of it's kind, it is very intriguing. I have decided not to trust someone who says "we're cool". In fact, I've decided to kill anyone within 50 yards of me or run in the opposite direction. Or... hide in a garage.
