I dont know how you people justify such a clunky, slow, drawn out gameplay experience that is also accompanied by the cringiest overdramatic anime acting that is also then forcing you to walk through what could be cutscenes because apparently some of you are actually invested in this game enough to literally study it like a science, so the game feels the need to give you tiny little slow walking disney theme ride tours of areas when nobody realistically on average has the time for this ♥♥♥♥.
Every single Monster Hunter game is just a different clunky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess and how do you people actually keep raving over this kind of game? I understand certain things being about setup and preparation but nah literally the combat is even slow as ♥♥♥♥. Everything takes ages to do because the devs need EVERYTHING to be animated like an overdramatic anime character performing a spiritual opera or something, Im wanting to drink a potion, and when I drink it its even done with one hand. Why do I have to sheathe my weapon? Why when I press the potion does it just sheathe my weapon and not use the potion? why do I have to press it again? why does it take 30 years for my character to stand up when they are apparently a master expert hunter? or are just YET ANOTHER random low-rnak random instead of just being an actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hunter?

I get it, you guys simp for the handlers and go "ooooooo" and "aaaaaaa" over the environments and monster designs but where is the actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun gameplay at? Everything feels like a slogfest obstacle course, and you'd think this is coming from someone who is dying a bunch but Im not this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheeks EZ in terms of killing ♥♥♥♥ but EVERYTHING. TAKES. 30. DAMN. YEARS. and why? Why does it stil have to be suuuuuuuuuch a slow game, forced walking sections that LITERALLY JUST LEAD INTO A CUTSCENE TO GO BACK INTO A WALKING SECTION TO GET INTO THE INTRO CUTSCENE OF A FIGHT LIKE HUHHH???? as well as the cringe character cast. We get it, you think it's cute when someone acts like a schoolgirl shyly holding her textbooks - but does it really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ need to be on EVERY. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. CHARACTER.

Thank god this game was gifted to me, and I'll still play it to honor that gift, but holy ♥♥♥♥ i would never have bought this with a single cent of my own money. 100% would've pirated it if I was that desperate to play it, this ♥♥♥♥ does not deserve the funding it gets.

they are worried about putting Big Black C*** jokes in Raven's trailer and being goofy instead of making a good game

They quite literally had the best blueprint for World of Warcraft x Runescape in the Modern Day and yet here we are. An absolute lackluster roadmap and development process, and then now a re-release of the same exact game that boasts it's fixes for an extra price tag instead of free updates/patches??? And the incentive of pre-order is to get a mount which should be a base item that could instead be profited on by using cosmetics for the mount??

I'm still just gonna say I lowkey hope their re-release has enough improvements and fixes that it actually turns it into a really really good game. Nobody WANTS to hate this game, but the dev team and their decision making is making it VERY VERY hard to not dislike/be frustrated towards/hate/despise/etc this game. Everyone and anyone who has played it WANTS it to be good, because we all know how GAS this could be. But the devs just want money and instead of realizing that making a good/amazing game gets you hella money they just wanna take a shot at re-releasing what already failed in hopes of people forgetting and new people coming by to see it and buy for the first time.

We all want this game to be good. But Amazon just wants a quick paycheck even though they are one of the RICHEST companies in the world. Just makes ZERO sense.

even getting it for free im not even too big a fan of this game, it's just boring in my opinion.

The foundation is quite similar to Warframe, but a mf like me just gets sleepy with the GAMEPLAY of Helldivers 2. Run at the same speed and hold left click at a robot or insect- it's really not for me. It's super dull. The Konami Code/MK Fatality input for stratagems feels more like a fidget toy. Kinda like "yeah it's a bit stale in here but put in a cool cheat code input to keep people slightly more engaged"
And seeing explosions while aiming down sights to me isn't as cinematic the way people over-hype it, plenty of games with GOOD cinematic war sequences so idk.
Pair that with half the community ACTUALLY acting like this game is a political statement and turning it into political arguments, it's hard for me to even care for getting back into the game.

Other people enjoy it though, it's just a "not for me" type of thing. You'll probably like it though.

MAN how I and so many other wish they'd bring this back. Such a unique PvP experience that could've been SO much more if the Devs just continued to have faith in it. I'm still hoping that they secretly just released Sifu as a funding opportunity to go back into this or into Absolver 2

Smooth and fluid at least, I'm glad the game's optimization seems to have picked up, even though it could definitely still use some work.

But this DLC I can't really recommend all too much but also wouldn't say "AVOID PLEASE". It DOES have some new areas, but the new spells are entirely underwhelming. The Cinta combo is cool but meh, that's a very situational use and isnt all too flashy after its 2nd or 3rd use cause there aren't many iterations. If you're expecting a BUNCH more out this, nah it's just a $12 handful of content. Nothing too big, but nothing too bad either!

The DLC is just a setup for another DLC or Forspoken 2. That's not speculation, I'm saying this in a spoiler-free way even though I don't IMAGINE anyone actually interested in this story.

As I've said and implied before- just pick it up on sale. It's definitely a worthwhile experience when it's on sale and no I don't mean the story I ofc just mean it's combat and movement, cause yeah that's always been it's weakest point only becoming MILDLY interesting at the end but it's just (for most people) too late by that point and they arent (me included) captivated very much at all.
