i finished the game (didnt get all collectibles)
and i have to say, amazing concept executed amazingly!
i adore this experience and recommend it to cat lovers and puzzle enthusiasts alike!
9/10!

after 20 hours i feel comfortable reviewing it.

first off : it runs very mixed, at times i get framerate dips even though i outclass the specs required for the game.

how does it play? - great! just running around the world doing sidestuff feels rewarding, grants weapons, crafting materials, spells, armor, weapon arts & so on.
its awesome!

story? - so far, its good. if you know dark souls lore and becoming the lord of cinder, its comparable to that.
easy to understand, but has a lot of depth to it.

visually? - stunning at times! so often my jaw just drops as i stare at what lies beyond, i just went past a story boss entering the next part of the open world and the view from there gave me goosebumps.
that said, the framerate can tank in places, during the bossfight right as you enter the open world the boss moves your camera around a lot and it made me see things in 10 fps while the game ran on like it was 60.

controls - takes some getting used to because things changed, we have a jump button for example.
other than that, its same old dark souls controls.

all in all (so far) - GREAT! lots to do, lots to look forward to, definitely worth the wait.
9/10 (if it would run better it'd be a 10)

its pretty much the switch game ported over with minor tweaks.
a standard that should be added to every game : pick your button icons.
here you can select the playstation buttons + if you want them colored or black and white for style.

easiest monster hunter game to date, the healthpool of monsters is so small when you're playing as 4 players hunts wont take more then 10 minutes at a time.
but as 2 players its closer to double that time.
if you played the switch game and had your fill, i would not recommend getting the pc version like i did.
its not that different, but if its your first time playing this game, get the pc version.
its good, but not much better than on switch.
graphics wise it looks better, but fps wise it doesnt run that well.

i still love monster hunter, but i hope the expansion adds some much needed difficulty.

after trying 2042, even battlefield at its ''worst'' is better.

after 51 hours of playing this with friends.
i still want to play more, and will!
lots of weapons, unique builds to make with characters.
an upgrade tree to enhance your performances, and character specific upgrades.
honestly i love this game & hope to see more.
make a 10-15$ dlc with 2 more areas and 1 character, multiple weapons & scrolls.
i will buy it, and so will my friends & viewers

i like mining & skinning animals ( in game)
theres plenty of that here.
combat too, but i just wanna gather and make enough to live on a farm.
open for more personel

i have an RTX 3080 Titan
i7 8700K
32 gigs of ram.
and i got 25- frames out of the game.
inexcusable.

i finished the story, abandoned the side quests near the end because i and wanted to get it over with so i can uninstall it and forget about it.
- plays like garbage.
- runs like garbage.
- story is garbage.
- gunplay is garbage.

if you want satisfying lootershooter gameplay, play borderlands 2, when you're done with that.
play destiny 2, by the time you're done with those hopefully there will be a game that actually tried.

This is honestly easily in my top 10 game experiences.
im a co-op fanatic so that adds to the rating of course.
at first i thought the split screen was gonna be really distracting and annoying.
but it surprisingly made me long for more of this type of co-op games!

the story is great! i was hooked from the start and really was invested into seeing it through to the end in 1 sitting (i never do this)

the gameplay has a lot of variety and mechanics that keep it refreshing.
somehow through my entire playthrough new types of gameplay kept popping up, and it was great!

all in all : i love this game & the experience it brought.
9/10. gonna keep my eye on future co-op games from this studio
