Early Access Review
170 Hours in, casually taking the world with my wife and kid.

Building 8/10 - It's really great with a TON of items to decorate. Once we can travel to other players camps then it'll be worth doing, but right now all those options are going to waste (if you love building then I'd still put this down at a 8/10 because the placements aren't refined enough for crazy glitch work.

Gameplay 8/10 - I like gathering and resource, and this is a nice balance of respecting your time with gather sessions to keep things running. Good progression. Nice weapons and tools. Loot tables of unique weapons and armor is NOT part of the game atm. Farming the same loot chest once you find it is the only way to get sets and some weapons. Skill tree feels good and fun to custom a spec. Balancing is still a work in progress, but fun.

Open World 8/10 - Handcrafted world shines here. It's fun to explore to find new resource and enemies. Biomes are great but could use a bit more variation. Enemies could use some variation too. It's good, they look cool, but a few more types with some 'patrols' would be a nice mixup.

Lore/RPG 4/10 - There is lore. It's kind of static. The world doesn't really change as you progress. There is no leader or reason yet. Besides clearing tiny areas of shroud you don't feel any world progression.

Value for the $. It's a great value. Plays well in Early Access and is actively being expanded. Great game to play.

Love it so far. Having a blast. FO 1st is just about required. It's an asset flip cash grab that they were forced to put more time and money into in order to make it a game worth playing. They did, it is, but it's still a cash grab. The Atom ship is very overpriced. If you can live off the FO 1st currency you get monthly then that's the best deal. If you have money to burn, the shop will be happy to burn it for you.

First day, couldn't get the game started without crashing.
Refunded and waited for patches.
On day three I repurchased, and installed. 9 hours online and about 14 off and no ftp problems, no crashes, and all setting maxxed out on a 2K NON-HDR monitor.
Game is worth getting if it works for you. If not refund and wait for patches.

My speces (not bragging, they are a few years old):
Win 10 Home
i5 9600k Processor OC to 4.7Ghz
MSI 370Z Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080ti
32GB 2600Mhz Ram OC to 3200Mhz
Steam and Game running on a Gen3 1TB M.2 Drive
SoundblasterX PCI to an old 500w LogiTech 5.1 amp and speaker. - The game sound very nice o_O

So much that was missing in Tropico 5 is in Tropico 6. No longer to dumbed down game. Let's hope mod tools come out soon to complete the depth.

OK. First off I f'ing hate the creation club. Scumbag move on Bethesda's part IMHO. But I did find my sweet spot for mods that allow me to deal with Bethesda's tomfoolery.
1) A mod to take out all the creation club nonsense on the homepage. (CCCleaner)
2) A mod to remove (replace) the creation club files with blanks (free up your hard disk).
3) A mod that copies the fallout.exe to a subdirectory so if they update it you can replace it and start in offline mode. No more breaking the script extender.
4) A mod that gives me full dialogs instead of that 4 point thing.
5) A mod that always show the person I’m talking to and shuts up the protagonist.
The other 188 mods I play with are my preference, but those 5 changed the game for me, and made it feel as if it were my game again. Good luck to you all!

Finally, an indie game that was early access is completed and released! Bravo to the team at Unknown Worlds. Not only released, but beautiful in its artwork and animations, deep in its survival elements, and rich in its story telling. Strap in because it's going to
What to say about a game that does everything right.

I guess I start with the gameplay.

You’ll spend most of your time underwater. Movement is fluid (no pun intended). You don’t have much in the way of weapons which makes this very different from just about every other survival game. The two subs you get, one personal, one large moving base are done right. The personal sub is one that you will wish you had in real life. It’s a complete blast. The controls feel right and it moves intuitively, just as you expect it to do.

The crafting is great. A standard progression system where you will learn new schematics as you go along, and you’ll gather new material in harder to reach zones to create you new equipment. Oh, and you’ll build bases, mostly under water where you’ll venture out to discover a way off this planet.

The graphics. The graphics are rich and stylized. My machine is a monster so I can’t speak to how the game is optimized. My rig is set to play on high setting on 4K and my main monitor is only 2K, so everything runs smooth as smooth can be. In any case, the world is beautiful, and sometimes a bit terrifying. The deep is dark and full of secrets. Fun!

The story. *no spoilers* Is fantastic.

If you like survival games and you’re intrigued to see how this plays out in a high tech style underwater area then GET THIS GAME. You’re in for a very fun time! Bring your diving suit and a sence of wonder because your in for a treat!

Early Access Review
The Pros:
- The game is hard.

The Cons ( 1 to 10, 1 being mild anoying and 10 being wtf)
- The game is hard, but more like hard as in prison is hard.
- The interface is very 1990s-esk
- Everything is clunky
- Crafting system is painful to use
- You get many 'gathered' resources from boxes lying around the game world - lazy

I would love to see these guys succed and I'm not sure why so many people gave it such good reviews. I can only assume that they havent played games made in this century.

The Bad:
All the new content is only avaliable online.
Community is toxic to the extream, only play with friends - unless your a troll because then you'll fit right in.
The new DLCs are for Online only, single player mode can go F itself.
Shark Cards - what scumbags.
Customer Support - we don't need no stinkin customer support.
Some legitimate player are getting banned, some hackers are not getting banned.
Rockstart admits they are banning people because of false positive hacking checks, but will no unban.

The Good:
The modding community for Story Mode (single player) is fantastic.
Can't complain about the graphics. If you have a great graphic card this game will use it.
The story isn't short as F. (I'm looking at you battlefield).
Playing with friends only is fun as heck.
The game is worth getting at a discount (about $35 USD).
Story mode is 9/10, Online is 1/10.

Yea, I've played this game a lot, and I've hosted my share of modded servers. I was so looking forward to the new vehicles, the motion capture movements, and maybe some new blocks. But the changes to leveling and to blueprints make this a completely different game, and not in a good way. It's like a very grindy MMO, where every 7 days you get punished for not exploiting the zombie AI.

- Want to build cool bases
- Enjoyed looting librarys - like those skill books
- Like leveling some skills by doing

All that and more are just gone. Not sure why, it was so much fun before. Oh, and don't go on their forums and say anything bad at all. Or request they look at the changes they made. You will find the level of professionalism of the moderator has taken a terminal turn for the douchebaggery.

Basically, roll this game back to A17, get the Ravenhurst mod and never change it. Or just do what me and my friends are doing... just don't play it.

Not worth the $19 I paid for it on pre-order. $50 is a joke. Bethesda just put in a bunch of stuff you could get (better) from mods. How shameful. 3 Full DLCs for this pack is also pathetic. Since your not missing out playing with friends, just wait till you can buy the GOTY edition with all this content for like $19. Or better yet, wait till you can get it for $9, it's about all it's worth. BTW: I'm a huge fan of this series. Sad.
