One of the most complex and chaotic deck builders out there. Takes the heart and soul of Slay the Spire and twists and expands upon it with a crazy feature: you can edit almost ANY number on screen with a dice roll. Just discovering what you can edit and how big of an impact that makes in the game is fun in itself. The cards themselves can get really crazy too.

Pretty simple, short, tower defense game. Also it is FREE. Not that much to say about it. Kinda wish it had more control options, would rather have mouse+keyboard over wasd+spacebar.

Roguelite deckbuilding poker game. Lots of creative ways to build your deck, with the main goal being to beat increasingly difficult scores and conditions. Pretty high replayability and it's fun finding combos and getting all the secret unlocks. Highly suggest trying the demo or watching a short playthrough to get an idea; you do not really need to know how to play poker to enjoy this. This was made by a single guy. This thing kickstarted the new trend of roguelite casino game/mundane activity genre.

My personal gripes:
Lacks atmospheric depth. It is just video poker; no lore, characters, motivation behind it. You're not even playing against a player or enemy, just a score.

Ascension system tied to each and every deck. This feels excessively grindy having to go through all the easier ascensions with every deck multiple times just to reach the more difficult fun stuff.

1 single soundtrack. It is a very good loop and there's slight modulation between rounds, but could use more variety.

Neat singleplayer resource management card game. Game is clearly developed for mobile and could use graphic options like non-fullscreen, adjustable window size. Some random events are maybe too punishing, several of them spawn more random events, including themselves, and it snowballs extremely hard if it pops up early. Could use a expansion update as the game is very short.

A promising tower defense/deckbuilding game, clearly in early development. You combine same tier cards to create a card of the next tier like autochess games. The most interesting mechanic is that if you have too few cards in your deck, you get a bunch of basic rock cards so your deck can never be too small (less than 11 it seems?).

There's not a lot of synergy between towers; cards empowering your towers are always a specific element or type (3 elements, 2 types each). You want all your resources to apply to all of your towers, so unfortunately the best to do is stack 1 or 2 of the same towers, which is not very interesting in the long run.

You can get an infinite combo with x2 hot potato's, several reloads, and a few rocks. Hot potato turns rock cards into draw engines, while reload generates energy. With 2 hot potatos, you can draw more cards than you use. This allows you to keep drawing and getting infinite energy to then spam cards. The best thing to use this with is Blessed, which lets you draft pretty much any card you want (with enough time/rng).

Even with this however, enemies scale significantly fast. After 1hr I could no longer 1 shot enemies with over 20,000% increased dmg with the machine gun towers (sin spotters) and lost. You could probably go much further/crash the game using the wrecking ball towers by spamming hemorrhage cards to make them bigger and completely cover the entire arena.

Early Access Review
Surprisingly well balanced and deep StarCraft custom game mode pvp autobattler, especially for an early access game. If you enjoy stuff like autochess, or rts games without realtime micromanagement this is definitely worth checking out.

It will become F2P in the future, which is concerning for how this game will be monetized. But it looks very promising.

You remember briefcase inventory tetris in RE4? Ok imagine slaythespire was designed around that instead of cards.

The 1.0 update gives the game a much more smooth learning progression for newer players, but is very slow to get through if you're already familiar with the game and just want to unlock everything.

Unique mix of town building, tower defense, and deck building. There are many archetypes and mechanics, as well as prestige challenges that keep things interesting. The game is 2D like classic flash games which is charming, but can get in the way of microing your army. Enemies have different mechanics such as the ability to leap walls or use ranged attacks, which add a layer of strategy to adapt to them.

Unfortunately, Little to no significant updates in over a year. They added some localization and a few xmas cards, but that's it.
