While getting punished for destroying cards is an interesting mechanic that makes sense getting way more random problems (that can generate their own problems) turns the mode into pure rng hell. If you get a problem that requires you to pay a certain resource while also taxing that same resource for not paying the card youre screwed and better of resetting...
