This game is an excellent advertisement for going back to Fallout 4 or playing No Man Sky instead

Thanks to the united efforts of Super Earth the evil Snoy were defeated before they could get a strangle hold on our supply lines. Let this be a constant reminder that liberty must be protected.

Original Post: Sony has ruined one of the best game of the last 10 years. Hopefully they reverse course before the community moves on.

New Review: Sony has back off of making PSN account linking mandatory. If they had not done this then people in countries where PSN is not available would have lost access to the game. Additionally, forcing us into their crappy network adds no value; it just creates a risk that if their servers were down we cannot play.

Helldivers is one of the top 5 games of the last decade. It is high adrenaline over the top action. At the end of a short mission you can easily dive in again or walk away. The community can be a bit fickle but generally is passionate about making sure we are all having a good time since there is no PvP or reason to fight each other.

Movement is buttery. Story is engaging.

Boring treadmill. Terrible PvP.

Awful anticonsumer policies.

This game hasn't cost me a penny yet and it has been great.

It feels like the game that Diablo 3 should have been. All the fun of playing a Sorc in D2 without the inventory management nightmare. Significant quality of life improvements on the genre.

Combat is very satisfying, albeit I frequently feel over powered. The story is fair. I really enjoy how they grab the camera during some of the cutscenes to really turn up engagement. I just sieged a castle in the story and it was pretty epic.

Combat feels very unsatisfying. Very grindy to encourage microtransactions even at very low levels.

Janky animations. Awkward class mechanics. Poorly balanced abilities. Ugly graphics.

This game is at least a year away from being polished enough for release.

It took about 1000 hours to get over the skill learning curve but now I spend most of my time making 13 year olds rage quit arena matches. 11/10 GOTY

While the multiplayer showed a lot of initial promise and there has been several content updates the game is a constant grind-fest and blatant cash grab. Additionally, the lack of effective response to cheaters /hackers is made all the more insulting by the ineffectual hostility they have shown to modders of the single player portion of the game. This game continues to move to greater and greater levels of mediocrity with each update as they continue their relentless attempts to pursuade players into buying in-game currency.

Most fun I've had in years. Best game on the Vive.

Community is currently very friendly. Hopefully it lasts.
