Two forced turret sections, flying dragon missions, giant mech missions. Not really much DOOM here, and I think it's a big step back from both previous games. I like the guns, and the two melee weapons Flail and Dreadmace. People are saying the skull ammo weapons aren't preferred, and they must not be using the Ravager. That thing can absolutely shred through a horde of heavies. Just shoot them till they die, don't press E when the game says you can. Some of the other guns are good, but you never need to change weapons, unless you run out of ammo. You get a lot of ammo when you melee, so if you are doing that you will probably not run out of ammo. Melee gets charged when you parry, which is the core mechanic of the game. I prefer the weapon switching and using specific weapons for taking out priority targets. Music is awful, and I can't remember as I am typing this what any levels soundtrack is. They redo the DOOM 2016 intro in a really cool way. Nightmare was fun in a lot of places, but I hate the dragon and Atlan missions. I was challenged at some points, but I would've liked a lot more heavy and Baron's instead of so many shield fodder demons. Five Barons, seven Mancubi, eight Arachnotrons all on a battlefield, and then 3 Cyberdemons spawn. Scenarios like that would be nice. $70 for a single player game is a bit nuts, and $100 for DLC and skins? I sure can't wait to play it, where they might have a reason for me to use the forgettable BFC.
