I'm not complaining that it's too big of a task, it's a heads up to let you know of how long the process takes since Unity assets may not be named properly when searching for each asset that belongs to a character.
I'll absolutely try since it's a good first practice with ragdolls.
An example that supports of how long the process takes in regards to asset names:
- Take the Coffee Bag prop I previously exported.
- Open up the asset extractor.
- Cue a humongous list of assets named by specific shapes (Cube, Cylinder, Shape003/Shape004, so on and so forth).
- Lots of scrolling and handwritten notes to determine which model belongs with which.
- Spend time trying to find the exact texture to match it. Thankfully, the texture's not difficult to find compared to finding the 3D assets.
It removes most fog effects but keep in mind, this may also affect their ability to see rain and such.
The Dead 4 Mods discord might have a more straightforward answer on how your friend can disable fog proecessing in his settings as some custom campaigns have their own fog settings.
Thank you for taking the time to ask. God bless you. If it's another game other than Left 4 Dead 2, I'm afraid I might not have more suggestions other than simply Googling, "Post processing / remove fog mod" for the game in mind.
