Description
My first GMOD map. GM_POOL is an aesthetic sandbox made for relaxation. It can also be used as a PVP map.
Basic Troubleshooting Steps

Perks
- No other games are required to mount. Simply download and play.
- No jumpscares or code for weird events. Each event/puzzle present in the map has been tried and true.
- Blocks with dev textures can be spotted throughout the level. This is a nod to Mirror's Edge, but with a different purpose towards helping the level be more accessible for those without spacebars.

Other Fun Things
- Crazy NPC ragdoll physics!
- 3 fun little puzzles!
- Eye candy with custom textures and music.
- 3 transportation portals. You can drop physical objects inside!
- A hidden Barney that T-poses and explodes when you get near to him! (Hint: He's not the one sitting at the pond.)

Big Update (7/17/2023)
ISSUE #1: Permanently Solved!
Topic: How to Make Animated GIFS Work / GIFS are Static.
Enable x86-64 - Chromium + 64-bit binaries within Gmod's Steam properties for the animated GIFS to endlessly loop.

Instructions: Right-click on GMOD < Properties < Betas < Beta Participation < x86-64 - Chromium + 64-bit binaries

There's no need to put your game on low or high resolution as the x86-64 beta version allows more features to show up. This is the same fix as found in another mod called "Media Player."

Dudes, I'm flattered! You guys are still playing this, and wow! 7k+ subscribers! Thank you all so much.
I'm fully back into the Left 4 Dead 2 modding scene (maps and what not), but I'm glad to see that everyone is enjoying the new Source mapping applied to this project. Compared to Abandoned 4 Good, my very first Source Engine (SE) project, I'm proud to say that gm_pool is a way better outcome. God be praised. Stay tuned for more!

its alright, but if someone thats used randomly doesn't see the barney they would probably just be so scared they'd go to construct

@Videogames: Yes! There is the Barney upstairs hiding in one of the empty houses. If you approach him, he blows up. It's been a while since I've edited this specific map, but I believe the houses can be destroyed, effectively blowing him up in the process, too. Poor Gordon can't catch a break, haha! :D

@Semtux811: Thank you! To be honest, I wasn't sure about the direction I was going for. If you see it that way, that means another accomplishment in my book!

If a lot of people like something, they'll give it as many positive interactions with it until the algorithm shares it publicly on the front page.

It's not Hollywood fame, but it's another great example to share Christ's awesomeness.

@villenera80 - If we're not sure of what we put in, I'm very sure the map wouldn't be standing here today. If you're prone to jumpscares or something disturbing, it's important to research and exercise due diligence before clicking join on any publicly hosted servers.

When it comes to someone that's publicly hosting this map, I'm not responsible if they decide to include mods that can make other users uncomfortable. Those experiences are completely different from a map author making a conscious decision to include such materials.

If you have a feeling that something is wrong prior to entering a server but still choose to click ahead - That's something that I'm not responsible for either. It's up to you at that point whether to join a public server like that. Some hosts don't tell people, some hosts do.

That's internet 101 for you. If you're not finding the exact clause in it's specifically mentioned, "No jumpscares," read the FAQ thread and the mod description again if needed.
