PDA Log Update 24/12/2024:

139 hours in and I can't get enough of this game and only now it feels like I'm slowly nearing the end. yes it has issues in both performance (even on a rig like mine) and game play (a-life and general bugs). But its also extremely evident the devs have put their heart and soul into this game and I strongly believe they have best intentions to improve the game long term.

I'm having an absolute blast exploring the new re-imagined zone with a lot of familiar landmarks and locations from the first game - it's literally playing on my nostalgia from teen years big time.

I cannot wait to see how the game will evolve over time with upcoming expansion packs and what miracles the modders will bring us once the sdk/modding tools get released.

This game is my personal GOTY or even GOTD so far.


PDA Log Update 31/12/2024:

179 hours - finished the game. Absolutely amazing.

pretty good, dead space but different setting. maybe a little bit more predictable and enemies are easy to fight. I enjoyed it.

there's at least one game system that you get to be introduced to but beyond that you don't come across it for the rest of the game. Found that a bit weird.

other than that, game is good

I was so hyped... Todd sold all of us sweet lies again "see that moon? you can fly there"... what he meant was you can fast travel there, and everywhere else for that matter.
This game is boring. Same POIs, same placement of notes, everything same everywhere you go.
Loading screens... omg, the loading screens...

Great game, really enjoying it with mates on out private dedi server.

Some QOL updates would be nice such as being able to make written signs like in valheim.
Be able to name/rename custom markers on the map.
Server commands.
Build menu. while okay, it could be done better and more suited for mouse clicking rather than using mouse wheel scroll.
More building parts.

Looking forward to see how the game grows during EA.

very good sprite based game. reminds me much of DN3D and other titles of the era.
