Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Gameplay
Completed the game in "I am death incarnate" mode difficulty, that truly awesome, you're likely to die in-game by 1-2 hit by bullets, giving the player sense of challenge for beating it and rethinking the strategy to survive. Dual wield weapons not limited by same weapon, meaning you can mix your weapons in dual wield mode, except truly heavy weapon which required both hand to use it won't able to execute that. Enchancement/Contraption added to player half way through the gameplay. Gameplay is truly hard on "I am death incarnate" but BJ Blazko will gradually overpowering enemies with perk/upgrade later on, strategically cover based shooting recommended. Game no longer separated by stage, rather it felt continuously episodic storyline & you can revisit some of places by discovering side quest mission. Be mindful, as default button mapping for Melee & Hand granate throw differ from Doom, and careful between enabling 'hint' & 'hand granate' button as the button side by side, won't lie i did mistakenly press wrong button 1-2 times on my playthrough. Hardest difficulty is lock for first timer.

Graphics
Graphics are top notch, shockingly beautiful & realistic sometime which making me capture more than 1000++ screenshots, but beauty came with flaws, between Mein Ieben & Low quality settings have not shown much differ, only noticable the shadow part in game. There are 'screen tearing' effect in game on Neu York Sky & Venus Sky, it will visibly appear by moving crosshair on Sky part in game.

Storyline
Voice acting & Dialogues are amazing but less appropriate to be play of course in front of family, If you are rushing through and played on easier difficulty, most likely could beat it on less than 10hrs, but I did played slowly with few sidequest completed giving me 25hrs on my first playthrough. There is public figure in history feature in game too, you shall discovering it soon enough. bit missing link of Da'at Yichud storyline, probably due to sensitivity of linking between Jewish religion. Ending is subjective depending on how the player view it, it gave me sense of strong satisfaction through the end.

Performance Issues
I had encountered multiple crash on early game, but doesn't ruin gaming experience. If crosshair and mouse stuck on screen, just try Alt+Tab it will fix the problem.

Pro Tip
Set launch options command:

+r_disableSteamOverlay 0 +com_skipBootSequence 1

for enabling steam overlay (if didn't work in game) & Skipped license intro / instant launch to main menu

I'm not denying there are strongly Antifa propaganda in game, Personally not siding with both factions, only enjoying amazing Gunplay part & great storyline which are for me truly over the Top.

This will be my best FPS game right after The Doom (2016).

The Evil Within 2

Gameplay
Gameplay is major step up from TEW1, no black bar top and bottom like before, Enemies has more dynamic movements but its movement patterns can be recognized by playing 1-2 hours with careful observation. dev put balancing by adding stealth skills (crouch movement speeds upgradable, but don't expect speed like Snake or Sam Fisher), careful with classic movement buttons mapping, when you're in cover (cover mechanic added in-game too), with item lying beside you while enemies beyond the cover, you either vault over obstacle or taking the item (same button press with slight camera movement problem). Vertical Steel ladder/climbable objects has glitches, 10% probability you're step on air (when reach the top) and then going to drop back to square. Bullets now craftable not only on workbench, but craftable on fields too (crafting cost more). Be mindful with car park at the corner of building, specifically car hood on slightly forward beside building, it has glitch, as soon as you vault over car hood, you then will trapped inside building with no exit, need to reload last savedata checkpoint. Gameplay become semi open world depending on how you view it, it will explorable on chapter 3 with side quest. There are cool easter eggs lying in the game too. you're playing it right when you are hearing "la la la" after a while. Foliage can be use for cover yourself/stealh while in-game. Not everything attracted meant to be disturbed, it's how the trapped made.

Sound Design
Sometime with footstep movements, will get confuse between player step and enemies, that's because audio did not sync properly with player footsteps. Music in-game and eerie sounds are beautiful and giving goosebumps at the same time, especially "la la la" part, the part probably most of players did not enjoy it, yeah i didn't enjoying "la la la" part, find it yourself "la la la" thingie while playing this game on midnight.


Storyline
Storyline just like Assassin's Creed eradicate completely Templar Organization with no weird Gods epilogue cliffhanging.

Performance Issues
Played it on GTX 980M SLI with CPU i7 4710 intel, i just crank it on Ultra, most of area 24-40fps, still playable for me except with area with heavily density lighting (Northern Safehouse, Sebastian's Safehouse memory) and not ruining my gameplay experience, on the shooting gallery i just scale down the resolutions and played it with mouse.

It's great game btw, although i preferred REVII in term of this year of survival horror genres.

When you're preferred shooting style, play with mouse/keyboard instead. Stealth preferred style by using joystick controller, just giving suggestion..

That being said i'm enjoying most of the part in game, and highly recommend survival horror genre player to play it.

Good game, but the powers making the game easier to beat it on less than 8-10 hours. by my slowest gameplay.
Divide by 5 missions.

in short, it is great post dishonored 2 game theme but felt way too short.

Optimization is greater than Dishonored 2, no more unnecessary GPU temp heat up to 90 Degree Celsius like Dishonored 2 does.

You will be play as Middle age masked man/Young woman who ate dried bough lizard, running around of rooftop, making everyone sleep with Sleep darts (ignoreable) doing bloodflies-pest-controller for a living alongside with your black eye imaginery friend.

You shall be marked as heresy as you collecting more bonecharm & runes by one so-called religious faction.

Eventually, caimed you rank with your morality choices.

from start till finish, you are 'PREY' in game, survival horror in first person mode on fictional Talos Space Station. Theme setting take place on 2032 where as US President J.F. Kennedy survived assassination attempt and joint US & USSR on space race research.

Remember irrational games dev? gameplay bearing resemble System Shock 2 & Bioshock series plus with explorable space station as you venture further, with Arkane Studio Style. Whole storyline really give thought provoking and makes the player think to relate, not kind of spoonfeed storyline, audio logs, notes, articles, & emails will enlighten you thoroughly regarding storyline in-game.

Soundtrack provided in-game really great, music, realistic environment audio sounds, creepy enemy sounds and etc. Then, you will notice Audio between environment and cue audio are Off Sync in-game, it would give slight annoyance and left you with confusion between environment audio and enemies approaching, but still not ruining gaming experience and it is forgettable error.

Gameplay make the player choices for play style freedom, but it will affect outcome for storyline later in-game. Done beat the game in Normal mode with no typhon neuromod, it took me 17Hrs play time, i didn't fully explore thoroughly entire space station as enemies getting stronger and out of resources material to recycle in later game. Gameplay really testing you, it's not an easy first person game for 2017.

Build by CryEngine graphic engine, visual is great, reflection of lighting are great too, shadow and enemy design too left me with an awe expression. But there are glitches occured through my gameplay, you can exploit some locked room with an object by throwing it, enemy textures out of wall (you can hit it while it passing through wall without them notice lol)
& Enemy stuck inside the wall, then cannot escape from trapped wall....yeah it laughable, left me with bitter words on my mouth while waiting enemy appear on wall to hit it with Spanner.

Game surely left me thinking after having completed it, real mind bending and setting the bar high for other games to topple it on 2017, and make me strongly believe it too going to nominated as Game of The Year for 2017.

Played 2 times for this game, first played at 2014 medium graphic settings and death incarnate difficulty, took me 20 Hours to beat it.
second playthrough at 2017, Ultra graphic settings and Uber difficulty, require me 13 hours to complete it.

i guess frame per second playing great role for fluidity for the Gameplay, it wasn't hard to beat it on Uber difficulty, just need to peek n shoot just like playing CS:GO game. Yeah, the only way to enjoying this game by crank it on Ultra graphics and play it on Uber difficulty.

recommended to anyone FPS lover out there, but campaign felt a bit short 10-15hrs average of completion.

Review your EULA policy so player can use Mods anytime.

Game is good i agreed, what is good but you're restricted player for little bit fun with Mods, player not meant to reverse-engineering it btw.

NieR:Automata is an action role-playing video game as stated by wikipedia. Switch to my personal opinion regarding this game, as for me PlatinumGames did very good job on mixing Hack n' Slash genre with A-RPG elements on it.

Gameplay
NieR:Automata delivering top notch fast pace combat quality that testing both reflex and speed of the eyes to the player. HUD menu can be accessible conveniently on real time while on Combat, provided with upgradable skills, perks, and Pod as companion while combat. Combat system is something that i can safely said overshadow combat system in FFXV, mind you i played both game btw, but only nearly 50 Hours on FF XV, and NieR only around 14 Hours and not discovering all weapon and style yet in game. Combat feels just feel great with soundtrack playing on background to keep it more dope. Aside from greatness of combat system there is also minor weakness for me, Camera system. Camera view system can be bad sometime, majority in-game exploration camera center you as 3rd Person View, on Narrow path camera will switch as Side scroller and not centering your movement as long as you don't reach end of screen, combat while on side scrolling view can be pain sometime. With Speed of combat while side-scroller view mode giving you hard time to track protagonist movement on screen, plus character looks smaller on side-scroller view, but it making player easier to navigate and not deviate on mission from the path.
9.5/10

Soundtrack
This is the best part of this game, the Soundtrack i meant. Soundtrack just accurately played on each situation, Calming & relaxing music on base camp/bunker, Soundtrack while exploring City Ruins just beautiful and mesmerizing, then come to Soundtrack themes with each bossfight it just purely amazing. Every soundtrack played on Bossfight, really pumped the player on action while combating. But most of time, sad emotion driving soundtrack played in-game.
10/10

Storyline
I can't say much about story as it contain spoilers and such, but i can safely said it will be emotionally driving storyline and planted patriotism value in our subconscious mind.

Performance (PC Port)
PC port is unoptimized for now (May 13th, 2017), tested on GTX 980M, i can only played on 900p Reso, Ultra settings 30-40fps. Then tested on GTX 980M SLI (dual gpus), 1080p reso, ultra settings 30-40fps, turned off AntiAliasing, achieved 40-60fps depends on area, desert/clear environments steady 60fps, on Vegetation area on City Ruins dipped down 45fps. AntiAliasing won't do much difference, it just not visibly differ on my monitor, unlike Prey game (2017) which bringing major difference textures on AA option. It's poorly optimize for PC version, that i should recommend the console version if you're not having beefy rig PC.

Conclusion/Verdict
At first with weird title name, NieR:Automata i put a low expectation for this game and was thinking not going to play it, heck i don't even know it was developed by PlatinumGames, the studio which deliver best combat on MGR: Revengeance, Then it started grow more audience, player, and fanbase on community. Then i bought it for play-test purpose, gameplay started with Twin-bees (NES Game) shooting top down view (a bit disappoint though), and then the Fun start when Protagonist reveal herself (2B) fighting with Gigantic Goliath machine. To cut it short its A-RPG done right on 2017.


+Fluid and Amazing combat system in-game
+Beautiful Soundtracks
+Great Seiyuu Japanese voice actor/actress
+Bossfight creatively well design AI, both attack pattern and Bosses design.


-Poor PC optimization
-Side scroller view mode + Top down Twin Bees (NES Game) shooting style view mode

The Price and character unlock section itself are purely scam, plague in Gaming community, i'd no surprise if it Injustice 2/MK10 did it better on Fighting Game genre for now.

wait for 2-3 years it'll be cheap on Sales, currently it only has 10 characters or 8

Good battle game but less characters unless you have money to pour it then just play it...
