Resident Evil 7 short review

It started hook me in when i played the demo version on steam, i didn't expect well for RE franchise since i didn't completed RE 6 half of character story mode. Transition from "3rd person action-zombie-shooting" genre into first person survival horror is really well made, it make a great interaction between player and surrounding environment to live the "horrific atmosphere".

Graphics shown in-game too really beautiful crafted, although the intro make me feel skeptical about the Textures and Colors, but once you entered the guest house, it will change completely. View from first person imitated human eye view, it has slightly curved between the centre view and the edge. Animation of character movements look realistic, weapon reloading animations really give me satisfaction feeling when i see it, i personally love it about in-game graphics, Devs care about every little details about texture in-game.

Game lengthiness is not a problem, i completed it on 9 Hours 4 mins for first run, even Outlast game only give me 2-3 hours to beat it on normal mode. I bet it gonna give me an heart attack if the game longer than 20 hours playtime, lmao. It perfect for this Horror genre and i agreed it completely.

Soundtrack feature in-game remind me of this country song on Horror movie, Texas Chainsaw Massacre maybe? And details about sounding when using good headphone giving you like someone sneak up behind you on midnight, perfect mimic reality surrounding sounds. It gave intense fear too when you approached darker place, cue sound when enemy appear, so intense sound make you wanna scream on midnight hahah.

Gameplay return to root of Survival Horror similar Resident Evil 1 in first person view, well i can say it just like an Outlast game with advantage player able to access weaponry. Puzzle return in-game similar to first three RE franchise, but with a bit easier and more realistic puzzles.

Hence, Resident Evil 7: an Outlast game with weapon + Fear game storyline,
and of course it just my opinion.

Dark Souls™ III

"It's Hard but forgiveable"

It's Highly anticipated FromSoftware title since Oct 2015 when they launched "Gameplay reveal Trailer". I personally glad for the Game lived up to the Hype. And yet, Gameplay feels more like Dark Souls 1 with the Bloodborne built-in graphic engine with no power stance skill (DS II feature) and non-upgradable Armor set in-game, require Skill over stats, leveling on this game it's only 1/3 way to Git Gud, the rest are majorly depending on your Skills and weapon usage.

it's true gameplay last around 30 Hours, i had completed the game around 28 Hours, and i had feeling this is shortest Dark Souls game in DS Franchise.

Class: Deprived
Weapon: Broadsword+10 (Except Yhorm)
Level: 161 (I used level cheater due to busy work day and increased VIT for avoiding Phat ROLL)
Magic: Homeward Cast only (No Other Sorcery/Miracles Used)
Style: Solo Mode (No Co-op)

Game features really beautiful Orchestra Music Soundtrack, especially on Bossfights and Main Menu Theme.

Game also required beefy rig in order to run it, let say GTX 960 with 4GB graphic memory is at least for 1080p constant, i'm encountering stuttering issues especially when entering Road of Sacrifices and Slow loading textures when passing through area/door, but it seems recent patches has fixed this issues [1.05].

+ Epic Bossfight in-game (Epic way to die in-game too!)
+ creatively well designed enemies AI (Movement and Attack)
+ returning elements from DS PTDE
+ Atmospheric and Beautiful world of Lothric
+ Beautiful Soundtracks in-game

- Gameplay feels too short for A-RPG genre (30 Hours long) for first run
- Plenty of Shortcuts, world seems smaller.
- "Does not open from this side" door bruh.....

Despite in short of lengthiness, still this is really the best Dark Souls yet... and it's final one according to Miyazaki (The Director), reported on working new title IP recently.

2004 - Skipped tuition class, went for Netcafe, started playing half life -- caught by family, felt bad.......

2013 - April 2013, joining Steam for the first time.
2016 - Beat the game on 18 Hours....after 12 Years.

RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER

it is simply Prettiest and Atmospheric early 2016 PC game, Action adventure type provided with more beautiful landscapes in-game. Realistic lighting effects on environments, textures, and Characters, crafting out straight from "Horizon" graphic engine. Immersive Audio sounds, echoing from gun firing, audio hint sounds, and stunning narutal sounds imitation. Artistic architecture values, Ambient Occlusion details on landscape, and as Nvidia stated on their website:

"...use of Side Effects' Houdini software is the most impressive. With this package highly realistic water effects and avalanches were created offline, recorded as Bink videos, and dynamically merged into real-time cutscenes to display visual effects that would be otherwise impossible to render." - By Andrew Burnes on Thu, Jan 28 2016

just tried it out around 11-12 Hours in game with only "Seasoned Raider" difficulty and i have found:

+breathtaking amazingly details environment in-game.
+DX11 effects make it more realistic looks. (TressFX, PureHair, HBAO+,SSAA)
+Artistical tradiotional values.
+real time cutscenes and weather effects.
+Solid entry to the series.
+reminisced me about Assassin's Creed III, connor in a good way.(Snow,hunting,climbing the trees)

-Low awareness AI. (limited animations and stealth passed easily)
-Allowances while aiming behind the pillar & Wall around 5-10% (aiming easily)
-Killing an Enemies easily by spamming 'Y' button on controller.
-most QTE events either press 'X' or 'Y'.

regardless of above, still, this is really SOLID ENTRY to rebooted franchise.

FALLOUT 4
It's non-fantasy Action RPG game, Boston Open World Nuclear Wasteland, when stated as "Action RPG" certainly it will not suit by "Action Junkie" Gamer & "Graphically Enthusiast" Gamer. TBH, I really did not put my high expectations for this Amazing game, but strangely, when i played it for first time, I couldn't stop playing it straight for 2-3 Hours unlike any other games. In this game adventure, my starting pack items which salvaged by me will be different than yours, my 5 Hours /10 Hours items will also different depending on how you played it, I'm pretty solid sure it will not be the same.

Button Mapping for Xbox 360 controller for Windows bearing resemblance of button mapping for The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim (which indicated game was greatly developed by the same team, of course). FYI, game was played currently by 128,305 players & Peak today at 274,593 players, which set concurrent player more than TF2 (Team Forteress 2), which peak today at 56,458 players @ 18:48Hours [GMT+0800] Friday, 20th Nov of 2015.

Therefore I'm going to cut it short of what makes Fallout 4 really Special and its Weaknesses:
+In-depth crafting & Customizing Gears (Weaponry, Armory, etc)
+Various type of weapons salvageable throughout gameplay (Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns, 'Junkjet', Machete, Shock baton, etc)
+Free to join any Factions available in game (BoS, Minutemen, etc)
+Create your settlements by your way (Freedom and opportunity as long as you hit your objectives)
+Main dialogue will turn into cutscene make it looks more dramatic.

-Graphically 'underpowered' compared to current next gen titles (fear not fellow player, Modding Tools will come in handy for graphical modding)
-Dialogue Glitches - Voice somewhat did not syc properly with Subtitle Shown, occur sometimes.
-'Season Pass' marketing strategy on Game Store.
-Hard Copy on PC Edition, contain only 1 installation DVD which installed only 5GB's something, and the rest required to download at Steam Client (around 19GB's).
