I'll review this game as is, not as it was. Horrible launch as everyone knows. First, the story: surprised me with how well written everything was including the DLC. Even when I thought I knew what was going to happen, there was a curveball or four, and kept me on my toes. Very entertaining plot and there are plenty of major dialogue decisions that can lead you down many paths (I've taken them all due to my hunt for all achievements). Secondly, the overall gameplay feel: There are multitudes of options for what build you go with, how the game is played, and how you approach combat. Mechanics were smooth and had enough variety to keep me having fun for almost 200 hours. Third and most importantly, Bugs: I would consider the software to now be acceptable/playable. I can't say anything for before V.2 and past. Mostly, things went smoothly. Nothing wack happening when it comes to completing missions and definitely no phasing out of the map. However the biggest issues with bugs were audio, driving interactions, and some cellphone functions. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with a visit to the main menu and back into the savefile. Complete honesty, I found it to be a very enjoyable experience, and the bugs and whatnot that still remains intact just made me laugh. If you can stomach an unpolished game, that drives home most of the good qualities of a AAA studio, I recommend.

Early Access Review
As a Hades 1 fan with over 150 hours, I am astonished at how well this game implements the overall Hades experience while bringing just enough new material to make it exciting. The gameplay is just as fun as the original Hades but with new elements that are game-changing. Keep in mind this is all being reviewed as of the 3rd minor patch in the early access. Every change they are implementing in new updates are beneficial to the player and give lots of interesting new approaches to each attempt. I think they are handling user feedback well, and making massive improvements to the game. I'm literally addicted to the game already and it's not even V1.0 ... Definitely worth your money and time. 11/10 Great job Supergiant Games. :D

Bugs littered throughout all aspects of gameplay, even affecting some missions and achievement rendering them essentially broken. Although there are hundreds of star systems to explore, many planets do not have any sort of landmarks on them - simply open space. Out of the landmarks you can find, many use identical internal structure instead of a new design. However, on the more positive side, there are plenty of missions and storylines to follow. It's kept my interest for over a hundred hours now, largely due to my love for the Fallout games. Personally, I'm able to look past some of the downfalls in game development by appreciating what they got right. One could hundreds of hours into the game and still not see all of the content that was created. The aesthetic of each planet and moon can differ vastly leading to some pretty amazing scenery. The combat is pretty much the same as Fallout, which isn't to say its necessarily bad. The characters can be pretty bland but offer some interesting side stories/quests. Overall I recommend playing if you have enjoyed the Fallout games or are a Bethesda fan. Outside of that, I'm not entirely sure you'd want to spend full price.

Insane amount of dialogue. Greek mythology that is actually accurate and interesting. Milestones and upgrades that are worth working toward. Re-playability for eons due to the weapon and aspect choices, keepsake choices, and other noteworthy options to choose from. I've beaten the game countless times and always find myself coming back to it. I highly recommend!

A meaningful story line (with reference to hidden lore), buttery smooth combat, and better CGI cutscenes than Automata. Overall a beautiful recreation of the 2010 NieR, and worth every dollar and hour I've spent.

Please for the love of the steam summer sale buy this game. It is a short and sweet game where you nonverbally play and adventure alongside a companion online. It's truly a beautiful experience. One to be had for $8 or $15 or whatever just buy it
