Journey was a pretty little experience I enjoyed playing.

Visuals are very simple and yet very suggestive. A lot of care went into designing the creatures you meet along the journey.

Sound is also really good, with a soundtrack capable of masterfully conveying feelings and emotions.

I’m probably a bit slow, but I had some trouble following the lore of the game, which is completely visual, represented by drawings scattered around. I was able to grasp that we were visiting a decadent world of a formerly great civilization, but when it got to details of the story, I had to read those elsewhere to get a more clear picture. It's not a complicated story anyway, probably a metaphor of humankind, but also a representation of the cycle of life.

I liked the fact that while playing you can meet other players online. At first I thought they were bots but after a while I understood they were actual players. That's a nice touch which gives a more human and lively touch to the world, and a surprise I didn't expect.

The game is pretty short, I managed to finish it in a couple of hours. I'd recommend getting it while on sale, it's definitely worth it.

An amazing experience through and through. I was feeling chills throughout the game. Journey has stunning visuals and a very serene and a calming soundtrack. The only flaw of Journey that it is short.

I have also played Abzu, which shares some of the dev team with Journey and can clearly see how much of an inspiration Journey is.

Folks at the end of the, i will 10/10 recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it. Get it on sale or buy it at the usual price, just enjoy the experience that Journey has to offer.

It's funny. I like this and I like Sky, but I have little patience for the Journey-likes that have come out since. You know, the linear, level-based puzzle platformers with an "emotional" story told through silent cutscenes (and in some cases, diaries scattered around the levels) and an "epic" and "emotional" soundtracks definitely not composed by Austin Wintory.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of this type of game. I avoid them like the plague unless they have something interesting to show for (e.g. Jusant with its rather fun climbing mechanic and compelling world building). Journey (and by extension its little sibling Sky), however, stands out for not overstating its welcome and having a multiplayer mechanic that ties to that """emotional""" storytelling. That and flying around is actually rather fun.

This is definitely one of those games everyone should play at least once. Its gimmick is a rather good implementation of online multiplayer and yes, it's a gorgeous game. Can't say I love it for spawning a deluge of copycats that don't come close to to it, but alas.
