Dark Sector (2008) is a third person, cover-shooter game that has a very similar but simpler gameplay style to Resident Evil 4 & 5.

This game was available to claim for free between November 27-30, 2024 as part of Warframe's: 1999 update launch and that is how I found out about it.

The story is super intriguing, combat is fun but a little tedious, and the weapon unlocks and abilities are very enjoyable!

My only disappointment is there's no New Game+. I was hoping you could replay the game with the new suit and same weapons but all you unlock is New Game - Brutal.

Nevertheless, I highly recommend it!

Why the f*ck does this game want to collect/learn EVERYTHING about you!?

When you first run the game, "BattlEye" will try to install. CANCEL IT! You can still play.
(If you actually do proceed to install "BattlEye" aka malware, you give it control of access to your ENTIRE computer. Downloading logs and saving things ie. just to name a FEW... your IP address, computer components and their serial numbers, apps running, desktop viewer, and MORE! Like we live in the movie Minority Report!)

Then, when you first play this game, it'll try to convince you to run Data Collection (Telemetry), deny that sh*t as well!

NOW you can finally play this f*cking game in peace...
...too bad it sucks a**!

An absolute MASTERPIECE that reminds me of how good, non-DEI infested games used to be made.

Very challenging but a super fun balance!

It felt like playing The Division's Dark Zone extraction mode. I never attacked the players but they decided to attack me. I killed three of them before extracting. Thanks for the loot suckers!

So far really impressed and excited for release!
