Terrible performance, a break neck story that can not take a break, already make for a bad premise for such a story heavy game. It feel like more cutscene then gameplay. But in order to keep the pace up it showers you in monster material which take away from the most important aspect of Monster Hunter Games in general, HUNTING!

There are very few monsters ( only 20 until the end of the story) and no reason to hunt them more then once really, this the worst Monster Hunter game ever released and that's before the atrocious performance on PC.
Play World or Rise, or better yet any of the older games but avoid this game like the plague.

Great gameplay with additions over Mechwarrior 5.
While still a little fast for my taste, it gives you a great feeling of being at the helm of a big stomping mech!

here we are again.

It's been a decade since I bought Verdict Day, more then 15 years since my first Armored Core game. I've gone back and cleared up the series since.

Outside a few quibbles it's a great achievement!

Welcome and welcome back, Ravens and Lynx!

Think about the story and you shall be rewarded.

Nice game with:
* Nice graphics
* Good story for this style of game
* Solid mechanics

but:
* Not a Monster Hunter Game

Edit: I was asked to clearify why I don't consider this a Monster Hunter Game. Which since my original review was written in a hurry is fair.

There are two reasons why I don't consider it to be a proper Monster Hunter:

* It's too easy. While the beginning of a Monster Hunter Game always feels easy to a veteran a new monster should still require some adjustments. This has not been the case. Every new Monster I can Leroy Jenkins without getting punished for it.
That should not be the case!

* Don't tell me where to find the monster from the start. You don't need to learn the monster's habit in order to be able to hunt efficiently.

In summary: you don't "hunt" the monster; it's pigs brought before the slaughter.

For me it's an enjoyable game as long as I ignore the Monster Hunter connection, since Monster Hunter should just be a much deeper and complex experience. At least skill is more rewarded in the Hub missions since monster scaling seems to have been removed, making it a better experience then Monster Hunter World.

Dispite the time spend I don't want the series to continue this way but be able to reimagine the old mechanics that where stripped, without an understanding as to why a slower pace is better for the games.

It's not a game it's a tech demo. As a tech demo it's great, but there is not really a game.
Don't buy if you want to buy a game.

If you are looking for a tech demo, the low price can make it worth getting it.

I'm usually not a fan of factory games, but this one has gripped me. Maybe because SPACE!

My favorite beat-em up. I prefer the combos in Tekken over the half circle and semi-circle combo intiations.
