Well worth it if you enjoyed Hades 1. The gameplay is very tight and every moment has been fun

The game is extremely unstable. I just arrived to a Soul Eater boss in Vanaheim that keeps crashing (I think when it does certain attacks). So now I can't proceed any further. Hopefully they will address these crashes because I am not the only one experiencing them.

A very fun, replayable game with lots of interesting combinations to discover and things to unlock.

I love this game and wish I could give it a recommend. However in it's current form, the thing that ruins it is the incredibly overpowered near impossible fights in the towers. The reason they are that way is so you have to use augments and items to "even the odds" Like I would understand a little bit harder of a challenge but this isn't the case. The AI will go into insane brutal mode sometimes outta nowhere.

One example of this was a tower I was doing as Scorpion. It was rated as medium difficulty, great, easy enough. I made it through all of the fights near flawlessly but when I reached one against Scorpion, I messed up a mercy (I was trying to get a Krypt item) so I just restarted the match. What a mistake that was, suddenly the AI became hilariously impossible to fight. He was spamming moves and stun locking me, I couldn't recover. What really sealed the deal was that every attack I managed to get in, he flawlessly blocked.

There's a really good game in there, unfortunately it's pretty trash in it's current state. (Also don't get me started on some of the other bugs)

Simply put this game is amazing if you are a fan of epic fantasy. The characters are so well written and the gameplay is fun and challenging at times. IMO this is probably the best RPG ever created.

If we can just put the 30fps thing aside for a moment, the game is amazing. Now i'm going to be honest and say, I haven't played the previous Mafia games (which I now will after this) but this is starting to become one of my favourite games. I've always enjoyed Grant Theft Auto games, however they were always just too comedy driven for me. I've always been a fan of dark, suspensful, action-packed, and dramatic stories and this game delivers in this aspect.

Gameplay:
+Great Driving (It's really fun to drift)
+Pretty decent AI
+Guns seem to pack a punch
+Good level design with lots of cover options
+Stealth is satisfying
+Fun police system (unlike some games *cough* Grant Theft Auto)
-Some areas seem like you should be able to climb but you can't

Graphics:
+Cutsenes look like a movie
+Lighting is amazing
+Smooth animation
-Clouds can look really bad sometimes
-Some textures look awful
-Sometimes weird pixely squares when exiting a building

Story:
+Dark, dramatic, and gripping story
+Story is told like a modern day interview
+Memorable characters

Sound:
+Cars, Guns, etc. sound like they have power to them
+AWESOME SOUNDTRACK
+Overall sound really well done

Bugs:
- Weird pixely squares sometimes
- CTD after cutscenes (only once for me)
- 30 FPS Lock (will be fixed) >:(

Final Verdict: 9/10

So I was a bit worried buying this game for $60 just for the fact that it was really only exploration. But I finally decided, hey why not I think I might actually really enjoy it. I started the game up, there was a little bit of stuttering in the title screen but I figured oh well that happens in games sometimes. When I finally started playing I realised how bad it was. The stuttering and frame drops were insane. (I uncapped the framerate from 30 to run at 144fps and adjusted settings to try and make it run smoother). There was no change in performance after adjusting settings.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME in it's current state. It is unplayable. I have yet to have any crashes but I suggest anyone thinking of buying to just wait to see if it gets fixed.

This is getting ridiculous with these garbage PC versions of games. Enough is enough. I really hope it wasn't Sony paying to have the performance stay ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on PC for a little while longer. :/
