Played almost every far cry game and since I have the bundle I decided to give Far Cry 2 a try, with the redux mod that fixes most technical issues this game is a hugely slept on gem. The atmosphere and gameplay is entirely different than any other far cry game. It's more brutal and unforgiving which is very much in theme with its' setting of an African state in the middle of a civil war.

The whole malaria mechanic can definitely be annoying but it being a constant threat adds to the already incredible tension this game has.

The AI can be unfair at times but most of the time I'm just genuinely impressed. I'm not sure how they dumbed down the AI so much in Far Cry 3 when the AI in this game use strategies, rescue their teammates, and overall behave more humanlike

All in all this is an amazing Far Cry game if you've ever wanted to feel like you're stuck in an African Civil War.

Played this after re2 and re3 remake and despite it's age it's still way more fun than the re3 remake. the music's incredible and the graphics are nostalgic and warm. just halfway through the game as of writing this and it's an absolute banger

This game does everything resident evil 2 does, but slightly.. worse??

Which is weird considering it's a sequel. There's less content, sound design's a little funky, animation on zombies is worse, difficulty is a bit more BS. If you finished resident evil 2 and just want more RE then it's definitely still fun to play through, but if you haven't played any RE I definitely wouldn't recommend this as a first.

Ideally buy this when it's on sale, then it's definitely worth it.

Elden Ring is a much more difficulty-accessible version of Dark Souls, simply because you can go to different areas when you're struggling with one. It's not easy by any means, you just have more ways of playing it.

I'm in love with the scale and things to do in this game, and for reference I haven't enjoyed an open world game since breath of the wild. I currently have 60 hours in this game and just beat about half of the main bosses i think (I play open world games more of a completionist style and do some side stuff before main story stuff)

No game is perfect and the flaws I can say about this game is that there are definitely moments where the difficulty feels artificial and pretty unfair (same enemies given like 5x hp/damage in some areas), as well as some boss fights where there's only 1 realistic way of beating them (despite the game touting you can play your own way).

For FROM SOFTWARE's first attempt at a "real" open world game, it's phenomenal, everywhere is stunning and looks straight out of a painting. It's filled to the brim with things to do, find, and kill.

Overall, if you have the patience to play a Dark Souls game, this is like that but with way more depth to everything.

I never saw myself as someone who would enjoy turn-based games, but darkest dungeon surrounds you with a gritty but artistically interesting world. It's an oppressive experience where you're almost ALWAYS getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over, the game will try to kill you as much as possible but it's still barely manageable to win if you're smart about it and lucky. It's balanced-ish, got a lot of mods, cool artstyle, and banger soundtrack.

buy it.

If you're a fan of hotline miami, or similar trial-and-error type games than buying this should be an obvious choice.

The soundtrack is banging, the visuals are animated so smoothly it feels like a movie.
The gameplay itself is fluid, however the controls can get frustrating sometimes (like how pressing down goes down a level while also rolling)
the game is pretty damn hard at times, but just like hotline miami, your attempt quickly resets and gives you another try so fast that you dont have any time/reason to get mad. Overall, there's lots of ways to get through levels, and the story's pretty neat too.

good game
