I read about Tom's mods before installing R+R and I'm pretty sure that I saw options RE: show my location (green arrow) on the big map by manually editing some game file. I can't find that comment now & R+R is boring me to tears... I spend so much time trying to figure out the roads it is NOT fun. I do what I usually do on open world games where I collect everything that I can before continuing the main story. For this one, I did the first mission for the factions after I finished the opening tutorial before proceeding with the gun shop missions, assassination missions and looking for every single buddy + diamond i can find on the 1st map along with doing one of the buddy missions on Mike's bar.
