Crash on startup

Bought a new laptop, re-playing all my old games to see them in glorious 3840x2400 res but unfortunately it's just been a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of crashes and incompatibility When I launch Far Cry 2 it shows the splash picture but instead of being in the middle of the screen it's way down the bottom right corner of the screen, only the top left quarter of it visible. It shows for about 2 seconds then disappears. Completely crashes. I'm running an MSi GE68 HX 13VIG notebook Windows 11 Intel Core i9 139...

playing on windows 11 with multi fixer causes baD lag help!

im getting like 15 fps on the lowest settings without the multi fix it wont even boot up idk what to do specs: Gpu: rtx 4090. cpu: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF. ram: RAM: 65254 Mb also im using a 4tb nvme2.0 and playing the game at 3440x1440 at the lowest settings across the board...

Far Cry 2 - Realism+ Redux MAP OPTIONS? *.cfg - *.ini ?

I read about Tom's mods before installing R+R and I'm pretty sure that I saw options RE: show my location (green arrow) on the big map by manually editing some game file. I can't find that comment now & R+R is boring me to tears... I spend so much time trying to figure out the roads it is NOT fun. I can't see my position on the big / bigger map cross referencing rivers & railroad tracks to the little GPS screen & it's a waste time trying to correlate directions to the next mission.
