25: Race The Sun
Sometimes, a game does exactly what it needs to do and it's absolutely perfect at what it does, and it doesn't need to do anything other than that. That's the beauty of Race the Sun.

24: NaissanceE
While often disorienting, this is an overwhelmingly breathtaking experience heavily inspired by the BLAME! manga. Can I please live here? It's so, so, so insanely beautiful.

23: Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
It was really nice of them to tack on a Warhammer X-COM clone to accompany Guillame David's soundtrack. Absolute masterpiece, and the game's genuinely incredible too!

22: Blood: Fresh Supply
A perfect boomer shooter with a fantastic soundtrack, dark sense of humour and sound effects and locales that will live rent free in your head. The best Build Engine shooter, hands down.

21: Remember Me
Mirror's Edge if it went maximalist and lore heavy and was a beat em up instead of a minimalist parkour game. Genuinely gorgeous and lore-heavy world, incredible enemy design and a soundtrack to rival Mechanicus' make this a must play.

20: Quake II
Thrilling combat, great visuals, powerful riffs and a fun gameplay loop that lasts exactly as long as it needed to. It's rare for me to say this about a game, but it's makes you feel perfectly satisfied, happy and content after playing it - not wanting any more, but also not ever feeling like it overstayed its welcome either. Fantastic FPS.

19: Night In The Woods
NITW manages to combine a bunch of different, disparate elements and make them fit into a cohesive, wondrous tale of maturity, community and relationships. It's genuinely wonderful, and the soundtrack itself has actually made me cry.

18: Saints Row 2
While the PC Port remains forever scuffed, it's still the greatest game in the series. As funny as it is heartwrenching, and as silly as it is badass. Endlessly replayable and the biggest, baddest soundtrack of any open world game.

17: Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut
It's like Mass Effect 2 crossed with Arkham Asylum, but with even more choice thrown in. And unlike Mass Effect, each ending is dramatically different!

16: DOOM + DOOM II
It's mother f'ing DOOM but now it's got a billion bells and whistles packed in and given the Deluxe treatment to boot. Rip and tear!

15: Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Even if this is a flawed collection, getting to play these incredible games on PC makes it worthwhile. Finish that fight, marine.

14: Balatro
I realize I have an addiction. I also realize I'm not going to stop feeding said addiction. It's as perfect as Chess.

13: Age of Empires II
I've been playing this game since I was 11 and I've never stopped loving it. It's a perfect RTS. Amazing music, amazing gameplay, wide variety of cultures and a workshop to make it go even further. Great in single player, great in co-op, great in multiplayer. It's fantastic in every aspect.

12: The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
While available on Steam, I simply must recommend playing the Daggerfall Unity port instead. It's an easy install for what is Bethesda's most in depth and beautiful entry into The Elder Scrolls.

11: Assassin's Creed II
Say what you want about the franchise, but everyone agrees that this was the peak of the series for very, very good reasons. It's beautiful, thrilling and perfect in practically every way.

10: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy
They're just cozy happiness personified. They're simple games that don't try to be more than what they are, creating these truly wonderful spaces that'll stick with you long after you're done playing.

9: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
The first RPG I ever played, and to this day it's nigh unrivaled. The Old Republic era of the Galaxy is truly incredible, and the story and music and worlds are all truly unforgettable.

8: Yume Nikki
Is it strange to call a horror game comforting and beautiful? That's the wonder of the original Yume Nikki. There's a really good reason why it spawned hundreds of fangames and even more fanart - go get lost in Madotsuki's dreams for yourself.

7: Prince of Persia (2008)
A lot of people consider this game the black sheep of the series. I consider it the best one. It's so beautiful, a joy to play and the story is truly spectacular. I've played it so many times and I already want to play it again.

6: Caravan SandWitch
This game is the happiness of community combined with the happiness of solitude. It's an endless joy to explore and learn, and it leaves you wanting to spend even longer in its world. Utterly fantastic. I hope to everything that they make a sequel to this wonderful game.

5: PlaneScape Torment
One of the most profound games I have ever had the privilege to play. What initially feels like a weird Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale spinoff quickly makes anything on the Sword Coast or Forgotten Realms feel like the spinoff. As far as I'm concerned, Planescape is the main event in D&D.

4: Final Fantasy IX
What can I say other than it's absolutely gorgeous? I could go on about the story, the music, the characters, how much it made me feel and cry...but I want you to experience it all for yourself instead. Please make time in your life to experience this, it is a must play.

3: DUSK
As far as an FPS goes, it's perfect. It's got a high skill ceiling, it's got a variety of modes and editions, and the single player campaign is as beautiful as it is terrifying. I've never had this much fun with an FPS before or since.

2: Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
The joy of movement combined with a killer art style, gameplay loop, phenomenal story and an even better endgame combine to create the best JSR game that ever was, and the modding community only took it even further, adding new areas, new movement tech and even multiplayer. I've not been this happy with the movement in a game since Arcane Kids' Zineth. It's worth EVERY penny.

1: Everhood
You'd think from the graphics that it's an Undertale clone. You'd be very, very wrong. Everhood has something truly unparalleled to share with you.
