i want to like this game for the art style and plot, but the game treats me as a baby or a game journalist, world is not explorable, while not being locked, everything covered in yellow paint and the physics mess it up even more, with car feeling as a brick rather than a vehicle and main character's junky movment. TLDR game lacks polishing and some proper phisics

A chill game where you reconnect with your childhood friends and kin. What I loved about this game: The way the dialog were conveyed with a noise that vaguely depicts characters' voices. Loved it. The sound design in general was lit! The conversations were fun. Exploring the world was somewhat fun. Location design! (at first). Overall I would recommend this game to 10-12 year old with no reservations, its that friendly and stress free.

What I didn't like about the game:

First. While some locations were crafted with attention to details, I couldn't get rid of the feeling that later locations were rushed through, especially the very last location of the game looked like "oh no! the deadline is tomorrow, we need to finish it asap, yep looks good enough, lets release it" Because of that the ending location (the very last one) and the ending itself was straightforward anticlimactic. Some animations with hints about what happened next would have been perfect.

Second. The gameplay itself - while collecting components through puzzle solving felt important at first it soon became apparent that they do not have much use. I can't buy anything with them apart from story progression. Felt like a lost opportunity there (perhaps van upgrades (like speed boosts or cosmetics could have solved this issue). The collectibles I found throughout the game were not usable nor wearable and that is were it could have made a difference. In addition, unlocking new gadgets forced you to revisit locations which simply added gameplay time but not value to overall experience. Falling from high places with no penalties felt like cheating (some kind of automatic parachute deployment might have been a better solution here) if it is a must.

Third: The always sunny weather got boring fast. A simple shift from night to day might have done this game a huge favor.

I like this game. I enjoyed the art style, I really liked the platforming and overall the game play is pretty good.
I recommend it.

But...

The story is not that good. The characters lack development and the choices that you make don't really have consequences because of an abrupt ending. I played through 2 endings and both left me feeling disappointed. There is potential here but as it is, I would not recommend it if you are looking for a good story.
