While I do think this game certainly has it's niche in the souls genre and I enjoy it, I think most people will not. I would like to still give this a positive review as I had fun with it but I simply can't right now with the state of the game. To be fair the stability has gotten considerably better with fewer crashes and whatnot but the performance is still terrible on my higher end PC. The final nail in the coffin for me was that today while I was playing my computer froze and when I restarted and opened the game again my save was corrupted. I had nearly 43 hours of game time on the save at that point. With some looking around I found out that quite of few other people in the forums had corrupted their saves because of power outages while playing. There is a recourse in a sense as they will give you the vigor required to get back to where you were level wise before you lost it but that simply isn't enough in my opinion. You are essentially still just starting a new character with the only thing being different is level you'd be starting the game at. This game encourages getting every item in the game which I was in the process of doing so anything less than a full restore of my character is simply not worth it, especially as it seems so extremely easy to corrupt your save in this game. I hope that someday they will be able to restore saves but as of now I don't intend to play again even with having enjoyed it and wanting to recommend it.

The worst writing I have ever experienced in gaming. An awful protagonist who never goes through any character growth, bland side characters, and boring antagonists mixed with just a terrible story and open world. The beginning of chapter 10 really emphasizes this if you are able to make it that far. The dialogue is also seriously hard to listen to at all times. This game makes Ubisoft open worlds look like works of art with just how dead this ones is and that's saying something. It's definitely the worst one I've played in this aspect with the smallest variety of things to do in the most bland fields you can imagine. You can pet cats or find a monument that gives you bonus stats or fight a horde of enemies and that's about it really, just multiply by like 150 map markers and you have all the activities in the game. The only redeeming thing about this game is the traversal and combat witch needless to say isn't worth the $70 to run and jump through a dead world fighting the same 5 enemy types for however many hours. I don't think this game is worth any amount of money, much less your time. Square Enix is really becoming a challenger for worst publisher/developer.

Some of the worst optimization I've ever seen. I do like the game play but you need a pretty beefy computer to run this game. Pretty sure they will never fix how the game runs as they have now even released DLC two months after release and still no fix. All they'll do is just link you a thread to trouble fix the game yourself but when the problem affects a large number of people who play the game its probably on their end though they will never admit it and hence never fix it. Be wary of any and every game you might possibly buy from Spiders.

Most overpraised game I've ever played. Borderlands level humor with Assassins Creed level side content makes this game pretty unbearable and uninspiring. What would be an entertaining main story is ruined by dialog which I personally had to mute pretty early on as Spider man tries his best to take any would be serious situations in to terrible attempts at quippy one liners and quirky jokes that just ruin any of the enjoyment I would have otherwise had with this game. Add in the awful stealth missions where you are forced to sneak around as MJ or Miles and just the general abundance of them that make the game play even worse. Oh and don't forget all the Screwball and Taskmaster challenges you have to do if you don't want to miss out on some bosses. One last thing to critique is how dull and telegraphed the combat is which admittedly you can make more enjoyable by messing around with different gadgets but that also makes the incredibly easy game even easier making the game play feel even more dull in my opinion. Just dodge when you have the warning sign above your head and you'll breeze through the combat even on the highest of difficulties. It's definitely not the worst game I've ever played but its a far cry from what it's 96% overwhelmingly positive reviews would suggest.

Notice: At the request of the publisher, Football Manager 2020 is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search.
Looks like they even acknowledge the fact that no one would buy the current copy paste if the previous was available, not that the game is all that fun in the first place.

Edit: Appears this only happened to me because of GHub and my G920 racing wheel. Works fine on keyboard, not sure about controller but, wheel users beware

Atrocious writing from start to finish and it only gets worse in the little money grab DLCs they do. If you look hard enough you might find the one and only thing they did decent in, gun play but, that is far from enough to ever make this recommendable in any sense of the word. The horrid business practices coupled with the terrible game makes for a great combo for anyone trying to waste money.

$10 for a depths dungeon and 1 new boss. Everything else you've seen before, with the recycled mobs you've fought hundreds of times to the recycled mini-bosses you've also fought. Horrid DLC

Hardest initial play through of a game that I've ever played. Very fun challenge once you learn the basics

Basically in this game you just get told to go somewhere and gain info on a target to then do the same 5 or so repetitive missions to gain that knowledge all while having to find where to get that knowledge by climbing numerous view points that don't even have fast travel to then assassinate the target and multiply this by 10 (for each target). That's it. In no way would I recommend this game even to hardcore fans. Just watch youtube if you want the story of Desmond and Altair. It's not a fun playthrough in my opinion.
