*sigh*. I'm just going to say it outright. This game is not good. If you can brainlessly play a game without noticing details, like a Reddit tier NPC bot, you would probably like this game. But if you are capable of independent thought and noticing details.

You will quickly notice how soulless this game. It does not respect your time, nor is it really engaging.

I can tell its boring and not engaging, because most people on my friends list have shelved this game and moved on to different, better games. Much like myself. In this matter.

This game is unquestionably one of Bethesda's worst games yet. And if you dont believe me, go back and play previous games from Bethesda and compare. You will see and notice the different, the attention to detail, the life of the NPCs, night and day difference.

I could write a full on essay about how lacking this game is. It tries to be something so big, it became the quintessence of mediocrity.

The game itself, plays like No Man's Fallout 4. It plays like Fallout 4, but tries to be No Man's Sky. And in doing so, loses that personal level of polish that makes Bethesda games shine.

People that are trying to defend this game are suffering very severe cognitive dissonance, its just watching Destiny 2 players trying to defend their Microtransaction hell of a game. Self-deception is a hell of a drug...

So no, I do not recommend this game. The game treats you like an imbecile with the intelligence of a loaf of bread and the moral range of one. Almost all named NPCs are essential, so you cant liquidate anyone you find obnoxious, you cant close doors by eliminating people and opening new ones. This game is an grand illusion of choice, in reality: its a very mediocre RPG that disrespects player choice and agency.
If you are fine with being treated like an imbecile, with no eye for detail, then you may, just like this game.

But for people with the discerning eye and ability to notice details, or the thereof lack of details. Don't waste your money on this game. It will disappoint you.
