Video games and "the art of criticizing without playing"

Today we will deal with a fairly complex topic that concerns, as you will have understood from the title, gamers who criticize titles without having ever actually tried them.

There are many titles that have had a ruined reputation for this phenomenon that we can consider and define a real "fashion".

As examples we have hundreds of them, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts and Metal Gear Survive, which despite sinning in many respects, in my humble opinion do not deserve all this criticism they have received, especially from avid fans who have not even tried the title.

We have other much more serious examples, as reported by the Eurogamer[www.eurogamer.net] website. in his article a few months ago, about 80% of the people who criticized and criticize No Man's Sky have not even tried it.

Many people review games just because "others say so".
This statement is nonsensical, because it indicates the herd effect that is created among a lot of incorrect information.

Or because you have "seen it on video"
This is also nonsense, since watching a live or video the only sides of the video game that you can give an opinion are mainly graphics, history and music.

So what is the reason that leads people to criticize a game without even owning it or having played it?
