So much more fun than the Sims 4. I really love the open world, and while I get bored of playing the Sims 4 for 1 hour maximum, I can play the Sims 3 for hours. I think it's because of the open world. It does get buggy and freeze sometimes for me though, and the UI isn't as modern. It doesn't stop me from playing this over the Sims 4 though and buying the expansion packs. I play the Sims 4 mostly for the create-a-sim part, but I play the sims 3 for the life simulation / mental-story-building gameplay

The Sims 3 reigns superior against The Sims 4, in my honest opinion.
It's just so nostalgic— along with The Sims (1) and The Sims 2.
The best things about The Sims 3 is that you can actually customize things, it's actually open-world, you can have your Sims drive cars, etc. It's a great Sims game all-around and I definitely recommend playing it.

It also runs perfect on the Steam Deck, which is a Massive W. (^w^)

The best Sims game you can currently buy, it's not cheap if you account for all the DLC but it sure won't bankrupt you and give you crumbs of content that doesn't work.

Get this instead of Sims 4.

this is one hell of a mixed bag...

on one hand, i LOVE the hell out of this game and it's customizability. definitely the BEST version of the sims to exist to date

on the other hand, has a memory leak, suffers from save file bloat
and suffers from EA failing to adapt prices to the age of the game
