The Sims 3 is an amazing game. Love the open world aspect to it, especially when The Sims 4 failed to deliver at launch. TS3 has some of the best expansions but they are too pricey and EA is greedy.

I did not want to believe the reviews and I bought The Sims 3 anyways. This game crashes constantly on modern hardware. The base game runs okay but once you purchase a DLC and add it to your game, the crashes become far more frequent. If you are playing on modern hardware your best option is to purchase this game on sale, and zero extra content. That really sucks, if you are playing on older hardware closer to the era of The Sims 3's prime this game will run much better.

i do like the game. its good, better than the sims 4 in almost all aspects except visuals. i long to have a sims game with all the interaction options in 3 but look as good as 4. i know you can get mods and cc to make it look better, but that isn't all accessible to everyone which sucks.

I spent thousands of hours in a *ahem* non-Steam version *ahem* only because there was no way to buy this game back in those days.
I love this game I guess

I've been playing this game since it came out way back when 15 years ago. My sister and I had many fights over who got to play there save file in the summer of 2009. This game while not being as in depth as the Sims 2, is still my favorite entry in the entire series for those core memories I made. If you want some cheesy late 2000's life sim fun, then this game is right for you.
