Frequently Asked Questions / Issues
Answers to some frequently asked questions or common issues that may crop up.

Common Issues:

All the structures and or items/inventory are missing from the RP visual structures:

This is a large mod (600 MB + as it currently stands) and will take a considerable amount of time to update/install. When you start your game you will need to wait for it to fully install the mod before you start your singleplayer or local server. You can see if any mods are currently installing by looking in the lower right corner on the main menu.

To fix this issue you will need to verify the mod files and roll the server back to the save from immediately before the update and you will have all your items and structures back.

Certain structures are un-placeable on rafts and dino platforms:

Unfortunately all the non-stationary (dynamic) structures suffer this issue and it is due to the parent blueprint being restricted on rafts and platforms. This issue will be fixed over time as the structures are revamped and updated to bring them up to spec of the newer structures. I will be making it a priority to revamp these structures as soon as I can not only to fix this issue but to give the older structures more options.

Why is this mod so large in size?

This is due to multiple reasons:

1) Almost all of Arks' textures are 2048x2048 in size. For items and structures that use native ark textures and materials it will still make a copy of those during the mod cooking which will amount to a fair bit of disk usage. As older structures are revamped the overall mod size should go down as the structures will be changed to load the meshes and materials at runtime which will result in less native ark textures and materials being included.

2) All the textures for the custom structures are 2048x2048 and while I try to reuse textures and maximize texture space there are a few structures that are extraordinarily large (Some of the early additions) and I've been working on optimizing them.

3) Custom destruction meshes are very large in size and I will be going through and optimizing them.

Will you be adding auto pulling functionality to your mod?

Auto pulling and sorting are not part of the scope of this mod. There are other mods which have this functionality that work in conjunction with this mod, namely S+.

Can you add xyz structure for xyz resource?

If you have a idea for a future item / container / functionality please make a post Feature Request discussion topic and I will see what I can do about making it happen. Just realize that it takes a while to create, texture, and add the functionality to a structure so any feature your request will be a couple weeks out at the earliest. You can always check the development roadmap to see what is currently planned for the next release.

S+ is mentioned. Would it be possible to allow renaming of containers, particularly of the Rockwell Chest and Metal Chest so we can *prevent* S+ pulling? My wife gets annoyed when she tries to hide things from me for her own use, and S+ pulls from her stash anyway. Renaming Rockwell's Chest to "*Mae's Goodies" with the leading * would prevent her shooting me in the back, at least over taking her stuff on accident.
