Why Early Access?

“We want to involve the community as much as possible to make Farlands a better game. An Early Access release allows all participating players to enjoy new mechanics and content as it is added, communally and in parallel to development. Players will be able to see how the game grows and how their feedback alters and improves the final product.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The roadmap we have prepared estimates approximately one year, although it may be extended to a year and a half if the game does not meet our expectations or if the roadmap takes longer than expected.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version of Farlands will include the following mechanics that are currently not in the game:

- Relationships and romances with NPCs
- Messaging and mail system
- 2 new mines with +15 hostile mobs
- 3 new planets (and all 5 available planets will be completed)
- Tool upgrades
- Stables and farm animal care
- House upgrades
- Multiple furniture sets to decorate indoors and outdoors
- Temporary events
- Complete history
- Achievements”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently in Farlands it is possible to build and clean the farm, watch a dozen story events and advance (in a limited way) in the main objectives of the game.

However, not all story events are available, and it will not be possible to complete the story until all the mechanics that will be developed during Early Access have been included.

During the first few months of Early Access, the Farlands experience will be somewhat more sandbox, where players will be able to explore planets, gather resources and focus on their farm, while preparing for the content that will arrive with each update.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. To thank players for supporting us, the price will be cheaper during the Early Access, and will also be frequently discounted.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a Discord that players can access, and a ticket system to report bugs that may appear, as well as suggestions and ideas to improve Farlands.

At the same time, the whole team is active in the game's discussion forums to address any concerns that players may have.”
