I play with a friend so i added a seat and rebuilt the front of the boom to hold 2 drills and a downward aimed spotlight.
just awesome.
@Trig: I don't think this is any issue related to the craft or the drill setup. I think this is a game mechanic issue that isn't allowing certain colors or transparencies to show through.
I'll do some more testing with it next time I'm in a survival world
If you have the version before I added a fixed / regular drill try sticking one on it (anywhere should work). Also don't add gatling guns, they can mess it up also (the fixed/forward pointing version, turrets should be fine)
But ya that design I don't get caught on trees or rocks as much either. Wish we could do harvest modules at 45°
i've got plans to put together a scorpion "forktail" with 2 drills spaced apart and across from each other to gain much better land coverage and maybe eliminate or seriously shortening the forward arms by putting all the weight in the back to counter the drill arms, but right now i'm sidetracked with this silly space bus SV i've been workin on

I stole the circle idea from your drill barge. :o
It's not published on Steam yet and may never be. I'll let you know if I ever do tho. :)
Additinally, feel free to make modifications to this auger machine, just if you publish it credit me and possibly link here.
