...This was made before the DLC came out?

FYI: this trolleybus is NOT showing up as an available vehicle for the new trolleybus routes w/ the new dlc/upgrade (only the default vanilla trolleybus is available).

@Jir, we have props already for the other gilligs, located here: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=934764679 , I didn't make a prop for this one because the alignment of the wires with the tram wires aren't exactly correct, thus as a prop it may look more off
Jir 2 Jun, 2017 @ 2:50pm
are you going to be releasing the props so we can do bus layovers etc?

Depends on what software you use. Blender or 3DS Max? I know it is possible in both, but I use 3DS Max and I mentioned how to render AO in my tutorial http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=845702749 , I also added renderer settings presets to my github, (links can be found in the tutorial).
If you use Blender, you will need to find out how by yourself.

@pauliaxz, yea! I was thinking that the vents/grilles need more of a normal map effect. I haven't exactly had the chance to look at it fully, when I used it, there ends up being a unsighly gray color so I decided that this looked better without.

Also, how do we render ambient occlusion?
PALiX 28 May, 2017 @ 11:51pm
As once Archie suggested, I will do that too, model is looking fine, but textures and lack of detail make it look flat and "plastic". I suggest you to add some details like vents, handles, grills, dark edges for doors and for before mentioned elements. Also some dirt details would be nice, it adds a lot to realistic look. Or you could even render ambient occlusion for some parts if not for whole model.
Anyway, skills will come with every new model (talking from my perspective), try to do something new in texturing, and in the end it will look better and better each time.

Not enough thwang when the bus comes off the wires.

I know. I didn't want to change the phantom into one and the brtplus I didn't want to make it into a trolleybus. This is more akin to the neoplan trolley buses

unfortunatley, these aren't realistic. Gillig trolleybus only include phantom 40' trolleybuses for king county metro of seattle, and cleveland rta, which is more like a gillig brt plus. just sayin
