YAAASSS! What a beautiful new model.

@phale it's for up to one family, which is 4 people at most.

Do cims actually carpool or is every vehicle for one person only?

No, I know, I just thought you wanted the Rims...anyways my newer work uses more polys on the wheels and the body too
Eep² 18 Nov, 2017 @ 6:11pm
Just the general overall shape of the wheel and wheelwell (yes, where the wheel is on the car body). It's too segmented and "boxy". Like, in https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQs4TwIrzVSp4JTEDgyKiwQ-xKoHDIsHwRvzbHU8biSoKE7eSFG you can see how the middle sphere edges look like your wheels and wheelwells. If you just double the polygons (triangles) on them it will make them look smoother. Surely you know about this basic 3D modelling concept already so I apologize if I am dumbing this down too much for you.

oops sorry, I understand what you mean by wheel wells, it's not the actual wheel, it's where the wheel sits.
ninjanoobslayer  [author] 18 Nov, 2017 @ 5:46pm
by the wells, I think you mean the rims right? I won't be adding axle/hubcap polygons. Of course my newer vehicles have more wheel polys, but I will always texture in the rims instead of making detailed rims.
Eep² 18 Nov, 2017 @ 5:45pm
Huh? You obviously have polys (polygons made up of triangles) on wheels (and wheelwells) or else they wouldn't render at all. You just need a few more "segments" so it doesn't look so angular. So, you know, like, more curved `-._.-' instead of \_/.

@Eep, my newer vehicles have more wheel polys. I'll never make wheel well polys because its going to strongly affect the performance.
Eep² 18 Nov, 2017 @ 5:21pm
Looks good except for the lack of polys on wheels and wheelwells.

@Archie: Thanks, I think I'll do that for my future models, the GMC/Chevrolet set is basically finished.
@ninjanoobslayer : If you're using Photoshop, you could use the Nvidia normal map generator plugin, here; https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop

Fiddle with the settings until it looks right :>

@Archie, I was wondering how to use the normal map for these details, when I did it it ended up being over exaggerated.
It looks nice, but your vehicles could use some more details, like darker outlines for doors and such.
Add me on here if you want, I could give you some advice for your mods :>

very nice!
