I can only hope someone takes this mod, updates it, and makes a standalone version, and anotehr that works with WeaponCore, because this stuff is just so good.

Nah still alive. However.. unfortunately I no longer have time to tweak or update any of my SE mods; in fact I'm on a complete SE break. As always, 100% of my work is totally free to share/change/republish, any other author whose content is inside my mods should be consulted separately. Hope the community is still enjoying the game and modders can benefit from my dodgy work!

Thanks Pork, I've probably got the wrong "tool tip" info, Wouldn't be the first time! I'm on a bit of a SE break at the moment so not updating mods but hopefully this isn't game-breaking.

Not sure why but assuming a mod conflict somewhere but the Laser cannon ammo works even though it's tellingme Turbolaser ammo in the GUI :D If I can figure out where the conflict is I'll let ya know.

Hmm if the turbolasers work then the problem likely is with the ammo selection. Starship laser cannon definitely don't take turbolaser ammo, they take laser cannon ammo. There are specific ammo types for everything (even rebel turbolasers don't take regular turbolaser ammo) which is very handy for balancing. So hopefully that's the only problem.
Weaponcore does look very in-depth, though, so I shall be having a look at it.

Yeah With Weaponcore none of the cannons nor turrets will have ammo loaded into them. Even if you place one in space the Starship Laser Turrets jsut won't take any ammo. The only thing I've found that works seems to be the Turbo Lasers. I could also be missing half the ammo. But according to ingame GUI info the Starship Lasers should take Turbolaser ammo. Not sure tbh lol

TBH I haven't seen weaponcore, probably too busy making my own mods to look at others'! I shall check it out.

Got an issue where nothing will load ammo if Weaponcore is enabled in game. I donlt suppose you have any plans on making this compatible with Weaponcore do ya? It seems to be the most popular one atm and I would love to see this working in tandem with it

where can i find the ore's like copper , titanium and tungsten , bauxite , ect ect cuz i cant find them , btw i'm using scarce resources maby thats way, i hope to get answer

Hi Sonyc, they don't turn up naturally and will need to be added in by an admin. See my comment below dated 24th March regarding how I did it on my server. Their unavailability from natural spawns means an admin can design a progression path. I have also made http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1678598103 which is essentially the same mod but with all vanilla components.

I get the idea behind rebalancing these mods, I just want to keep my Dreadnought as powerful as it is, so I am not gonna download it.

i too would like one without the shields whether or not im using the custom components, as i like to have only one uniform shield mod for my people, but would love to see the rebalance of the star wars stuff

Hi c0de. I haven't separated them as they both use the custom components. It's not a big deal to pull the shields out and republish - are you using the custom components or the vanilla version of this?

do you have a separate mod for each weapons and shields? i dont want the shield to conflict with my current shield mod.

Various, Demon. The custom ores will spawn naturally. The crystals won't, so for higher-end weapons you need some source, be it AI or some other placed drop. I have another mod which brings in AI armed with these weapons and shields, you can intercept and grind the blocks to harvest the components and the transports often carry them. Note the mod is unoptimised as I'm not using it right now ,the AI needs some tweaking, but it does work and they'll give you a fight. http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1632817265 is the link.

Although damage output, building and running costs are fairly balanced, I still use this mod in conjunction with Cython's Energy Shields, and my Shrapnel Damage mod (neither are required, I think they help balance damage.)
To balance the cost there are custom materials required for building most weapons, which don't spawn naturally; I wanted some progression on my server so I have them carried by AI, which is done by my other mod Outer Rim Modpack. Without that, you'll need to creative-in the materials.

Hi guys. This mod is pretty much stable and balanced now. The fixed weapons issue (caused by game engine update) has been worked around. Let me know what you think.

Hey lego. I'm messing with this constantly, it's really a test pack for any new ideas and so likely to cause problems if you include it in a world :) It's only public because I occasionally test stuff on a public server I run. I'd give this one a miss if I were you!
