This is an issue on your end - this map doesn't change anything about Combine soldiers in any way.
Verify your game files via Steam (Right-click GMod in the library > properties > Installed Files)

This is a preety good map, but i have an issue with it. Its the combine death sound, it becomes a screeching and annoying sound and it only happends with the combine soldiers! All other npcs are completely fine. Heres the video of the sound that plays: https://youtu.be/1IuWzdhgh8g

What are your specs? And have you tried disabling every add-on?

I did the lowspec v1 of this map with only an FPS bosster and 3 weapons that I manually extracted from an m9k weapons pack, lowest graphics possible, multicore rendering, and even going as far as to making the LOD to its lowest quality value, and reducing the resolution from 1920x1080, to 640x480. Garry's Mod was the only application open on the computer, other than things essential to the computer. Steam was even in Offline mode, and closed by task manager forcefully.

I still stutter between 10 and 30 frames. I used the same optimization on both combine_onslaught_v2, and combine invasion ice reactor (I'm not linking them here, as I still do think this is a good map, and don't want attention diverted from it)

I've tried everything short of buying a new computer.

Forgot to mention, but the way file size is calculated changed between gmod back then and now.
The file size was always roughly 250 MB, but before a GMod update, only displayed the compressed size.
Add-ons now show their uncompressed size, but the download size remains the same.

I like all of the versions, if V1 had those invisible like blocks removed and it was uploaded that would be awesome. There's actually a map like that on the workshop called like nz_gilmancity or something BUT it doesn't have zombie spawns which is a big problem. Obviously you could just spawn zombies in singleplayer, but we used V1 and v2 on the server before this addon got updated and the maps were removed since this addon went from like 50mb to 400. They also dont let you spawn NPCs on that server which is more of a skill issue but maps like these made it a lot better.

Anyways if you would be so kind, if you dont want to update any of the maps then I would love it if you could upload V2 to the workshop. If you are willing to make some changes then I would absolutely love to see v1 instead but with some small edits to open rooms and maybe even the rooftops. Thanks!

I'd much rather keep everything as a single add-on. Makes updating much easier.

Is it possible for you to remove the invisible barriers (or let you open/break them) on the V1 version of the map? So for example next to the house on the V2 version there's a small room in a building you can enter, but in the V1 version there's a door that you have to physically delete to enter it, and there's also like two garages around that seem to have invisible boxes preventing you from even standing in them that are not present in the V2 version.

Specifically, look for an add-on that adds dynamic lights - it's poorly coded and not checking if the fire is actually active.

Alright so first bug spotted. Orange orbs that I believe are meant to be fire particle effects for you can ignite some areas with fire, are there regardless of it burning or not. So there are permanent orange orbs there.

I assume you're confusing nodes with a nav mesh.
The two accomplish similar goals, but are vastly different from each other.
Nodes only work with half life 2 NPCs, and NPCs from things like VJ Base.
A nav mesh only works with NPCs like nextbots, such as DRGBase.
This map only has nodes, and no nav mesh.

Zombies spawn when you activate the radio in spawn.
If you just want to do a roleplay, try the gamemode edition of the map - part of this add-on.
