but he never came back

Odd. This mod is really old and possibly broke in 1.3. I will have a look later but I have been too busy to update anythiing because of studies. I'll get back to modding probably at the end of this year.

Not working? canned food only showing 30 mins
ZOIYYK 13/dez./2016 às 7:57
Yup, I can confirm it, I got my canned food spoiled.

@georgedorn: check "Food Rot Dots" (Link: http://steamproxy.net/steamstore ). I use ir and has somthing alike what you were looking for.
Thundercraft 25/ago./2016 às 7:24
@ Jason_c_o
Actually, Canned Food and Chocolate both have expire times. Chocolate will spoil after 15 hours and Canned Food spoils after 30 hours. I know this because I use the 'Improved Food Descriptions' mod. Also, I'm pretty sure that I've seen Canned Food spoil. It just takes a very, very long time.
Jason_c_o 25/ago./2016 às 1:52
Is there a way to make food that doesn't expire, like canned food or chocolate, show that instead of constantly showing 5 days?
Towja  [autor(a)] 10/ago./2016 às 2:56
No, sorry
georgedorn 5/ago./2016 às 22:17
Is there a way to sort food by how long it will last, or display food in different colors so I don't need to mouseover every bit of food in my inventory looking for the food that will next expire?

1. I use the food stack mod, I don't see hours, minutes, seconds, or whatever from that. Not sure what the other guy was talking about in relation to your mod.

2. What 'day' does this mod base it on? Your 'home' world? (first one landed on) Or, does it change depending on the planet you're on?

3. Is this client only or client/server?
Towja  [autor(a)] 30/jul./2016 às 20:56
Alright, cool :)
Zaflis 30/jul./2016 às 6:51
I checked the source files, and i see it works different than i thought. I'm currently testing a new mod that takes a different approach with hours and minutes shown, it ignores the premade time names file. It seems to work but i'll maybe release after a bit of polish.
ShyCat 30/jul./2016 às 6:08
I thought it worked fine for me. Nice job on the mod, very helpful. ^.^
Towja  [autor(a)] 30/jul./2016 às 6:00
I don't really know what you are talking about. These mods might not be great, if you don't like them, don't use them. As far ask I know, the mod IS working, but I simply haven't had time to test it extensively. Sorry about that.
Zaflis 30/jul./2016 às 4:45
Also based on the Food Stack mod's display, the rounding on this mod's tooltip was down. "Over 3 hours left" should mean 3 hour + X minutes, not 2 hours + X minutes as it currently is.
Zaflis 30/jul./2016 às 4:43
So is the mod working correctly or not? I haven't seen it ever say 2 days left or 20 hours left. I trust the Food Stack mod's display more because it says hours, minutes and seconds precisely. I don't have mods that change the rot timing.
ShyCat 28/jul./2016 às 17:39
@Towja Thank you

ShyCat 28/jul./2016 às 13:38
Is this Client or Server side?
Zaflis 27/jul./2016 às 8:51
The rotting times differ greatly when looking at foods in "Food Stack" mod's combiner machine. "over 5 days left" tooltip of this mod translates to roughly 7 hours.
Towja  [autor(a)] 27/jul./2016 às 6:04
@thundercraft a friend of mine wanted this, and at the time no food improvement mods were on workshop. He specifically wanted it on workshop, so I made it.

@ChewedPencil IRL times

@Default Name I can't really change that, sorry

@ShavedBear Yep.
Gunvarrel 26/jul./2016 às 19:44
Just to inform you, a friend says your mod is compatible with http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=730867662 so :D
I'll be informing that mod's author as well, just to help out
ChewedPencil 26/jul./2016 às 17:23
So are these times IRL or in game time?
Hobocop 26/jul./2016 às 13:49
Is this purely client side?
Refolde 26/jul./2016 às 11:35
I've noticed the food in my refigerator still states it "might last 2 hours" and that kind of stuff, not really a big deal, but still kind of weird to read that when they're being preserved.
Thundercraft 26/jul./2016 às 9:08
Umm... How does what this mod do and what your planned features are (increased info on food) compare with the "Improved Food Descriptions" mod? The latter does this and much more. Just saying.
Towja  [autor(a)] 25/jul./2016 às 23:27
Each food item has a value on it that is decreased regularly. When that value reaches 0, your food rots. All I did was work out how fast that value decreases, then added descriptions for a lot of the values to tell you how long it will take until it rots.
Foxtrot 25/jul./2016 às 17:02
Did you edit how long food takes 'till it rots or it just tells you how long 'till they rot?
Towja  [autor(a)] 25/jul./2016 às 15:39
@BearzFirex I could, but it wouldn't be very accurate.
✮Kisuna✭ 25/jul./2016 às 15:15
Nice type of mod that lets you know when it is not gonna be eatable.
BearShard 25/jul./2016 às 4:05
Hey, can you make the same mod but with "percent"? That way can be compatible with other mods that use different rates of rot time, right?
Towja  [autor(a)] 24/jul./2016 às 14:17
It SHOULD work with custom food.
*Yuki* 24/jul./2016 às 8:07
Is it API-based (e.g will work with custom food too), or its made manually for each item?
Fish Ball 24/jul./2016 às 7:38
Thanks.
Towja  [autor(a)] 24/jul./2016 às 7:13
Thanks!
BearShard 24/jul./2016 às 6:46
Towja  [autor(a)] 24/jul./2016 às 6:19
okay. Tell me the results of your testing once you're done please. :)
BearShard 24/jul./2016 às 6:18
Im going to test it then :D
Towja  [autor(a)] 24/jul./2016 às 6:17
If they use different rates, (Like if they slow down or speed up how long it will take for food to rot) Then my mod's timing will be wrong.
Towja  [autor(a)] 24/jul./2016 às 6:16
@BearzFirex I have absolutely no idea. As long as they use the same food decomposition rates as the normal game, it will work.
BearShard 24/jul./2016 às 6:10
This is compatible with stackable food mod?
