CristianVlad2013 19 Jul, 2021 @ 9:06am
Can't find Save XComeEngine.ini and the mod that I removed is still there, the annoyng anouncment is STILL There....
DoktorFar 13 Feb, 2019 @ 4:36am
Does this work with WotC or not?
Albertine_Crowley 24 Oct, 2018 @ 11:36am
Thanks ! I love your mod
No bug with other mods, its perfect.
Elkstone 23 Jul, 2018 @ 6:09am
This just adds more missing mods
Nasarog 20 Sep, 2017 @ 2:48pm
If someone makes a new version of this, I will download for sure.
Donovan Trevos  [author] 10 Sep, 2017 @ 8:53am
I don't mind. I don't own WotC and I don't have the SDK installed, so it isn't as though I can put a WotC version out anyways. The ultimate goal is just providing people with what they want.
sq_paradox 9 Sep, 2017 @ 1:58pm
Mod bindings can be reset it just requires an additional step in the code (which admittedly took me a little while to figure out).

You can use Remove Missing Mods for WotC: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1127050498

@Zwagoth
I don't mean to be advertising in your comment section I just know there are people who will still be coming here hoping to unbind mods. Feel free to delete this comment if you aren't totally comfrtable with it being here.
guby 9 Sep, 2017 @ 12:16pm
Hey Zwagoth, has there been any followup version of the mod for WotC? If not, I'd be interested in making the port/update, with your permission of course.
Arkhangel 1 Sep, 2017 @ 9:27pm
@Zwagoth: it does, however, i don't think it has the option to reset mod bindings like this mod gives you.
jander2069 31 Aug, 2017 @ 4:59pm
You can load a game, but every time this message will popup, I'm going to try this https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=620684122
BlueRaja 31 Aug, 2017 @ 2:31pm
The base-game has had this functionality built-in since before WotC. It was in one of the first updates.
Lung 31 Aug, 2017 @ 8:03am
went to XcomEngine.ini, "ModClassOverrides" does not exist.
Donovan Trevos  [author] 31 Aug, 2017 @ 6:20am
Hey there. I don't own WOTC, and I lost interest in the game, so I can't test or update it against WOTC. I'm under the impression that the game now offers the option to load save games anyways, or that the mod still works to offer the option to load them anyways. YMMV
jander2069 31 Aug, 2017 @ 12:45am
When this mod work, if I remember well, there were a button somewhere when you click 'esc', now I don't see that button. Maybe this mod don't work with WOTC
PunishedDan7 30 Aug, 2017 @ 7:47pm
For anyone wondering, this doesn't seem to work with wotc. Tried to "reset mod bindings" using the button on the pause menu as you would in vanilla then save + exited. When I attempted to load the game still notified me that the mods from before were missing.

I don't know a thing about modding, but if I had to guess its trying to delete the mod list from the save folder for vanilla xcom 2, not for wotc, so I'd imagine it would be a pretty easy fix if anyone has the know-how.
PunishedDan7 30 Aug, 2017 @ 5:20pm
@Rabid Dutchman That functionality was added later to XCOM 2, rather than outright disabling the ability to play without the mod it just tells you it "might" not work. As far as I can tell there is no way to stop it pestering you with this everytime you load the game, as is added with this mod, so this mod (or an updated version, not sure whether it works or not) is probably still nice to have.
Rabid Dutchman 29 Aug, 2017 @ 2:35pm
@Nasarog This mod does work, however I was able to load saves without the proper mods active WITHOUT this mod. It looks like WotC has this functionality built in.
Nasarog 29 Aug, 2017 @ 12:42pm
Willl this be updated for War of the Chosen?
Timofan 12 Jul, 2017 @ 3:08pm
@xCustom17 lol buy the game you fithy pirate.
Knooob 3 Jul, 2017 @ 2:20am
Hi, could you reupload the mod/archive to dropbox? Steam doesn't work for me downloading mods. Good work btw
KindTis 19 Feb, 2017 @ 3:47am
it's not working for me. missing alert message is still shown up.
Ocelost 5 Feb, 2017 @ 8:31pm
I don't see any option on the pause menu or the bottom of the screen. ModClassOverrides does not appear at all in my XComEngine.ini, so I can't remove any such lines. I don't have any other mods enabled.

Bummer.
Book of Dead Giants 30 Jan, 2017 @ 6:37pm
Post this on Nexus !! LOL :steammocking:
3DFox 12 Nov, 2016 @ 5:13am
not working anymore
Gulp DragonDawn 30 Oct, 2016 @ 10:19am
won't work for me either
5n0w 26 Oct, 2016 @ 5:56am
This seems to be not working anymore, I think an update broke it?
Earl Sneakington 2 Aug, 2016 @ 12:55pm
Dose this work for the "Canot Load Save game" message? As my game tells me "Canot Load Save game" but I still have a load button that load the game and plays fine.
Gantradies 17 Jul, 2016 @ 6:20am
found out this had magically unsubbed while trying to fix a persistent crash issue with something in my load-order X_X
anyone reading this, untill Firaxis adds the ability to disable the warning text, this mod isnt obsoleted by their patch :p
Mook 10 Jul, 2016 @ 1:27am
This mod is great for getting rid of that giant red alert :D
Bullyhunter77 25 Apr, 2016 @ 6:49pm
@LiquidSorrow From what I know, the patch that allows ignore missing content didn't actually make it, so until it actually does, you'll need to use this mod.
tom++ 17 Apr, 2016 @ 7:53am
Thanks a lot for this Mod!!,
it's sad that the game itself does not offer a checkbox in the Load-Warning dialog: "Don't display this dialog anymore".
Masonator 15 Apr, 2016 @ 4:43pm
Hey, creator - you should update this to include quicksaves. It currently doesn't.
TaraPryde 22 Mar, 2016 @ 9:02pm
I just got a warning about missing content that I didn't even uninstall. So this is convienient.
Pancake 17 Mar, 2016 @ 2:08pm
I guess this mod is useless now. But kudos to the guy who made it. :Lotus:
Mook 17 Mar, 2016 @ 10:48am
So is this mod not needed anymore? Ignore missing content is in the base game now.
Traveler 11 Mar, 2016 @ 2:12am
Can't believe they didn't make mods more flexable. Fallout/elder Scrolles deals with it much better.
Immhotep 10 Mar, 2016 @ 8:06pm
@Cappy: The patch notes says you can press load anyways except there is no such button as load anyways at all
Cappy 10 Mar, 2016 @ 3:52pm
For those of you that don't know this was posted under the reddit topic for the patch notes.
"FXS_MisterKevin 97 points 5 hours ago*

Hey everyone! Unfortunately, an outdated version of the patch notes got posted. We have corrected this so now the blog and our various forum posts display the correct notes.

Two bullet points should have not been included:

The part in parenthesis for the Mimic Beacon "100 on legend, 3 corpses on legend" did not make it into this patch. The rest of the balance changes to Mimic Beacon are in.

This fix did not make it into the patch: Players will now be able to press “Load Anyways” when loading a save when the mods used are not present

We also have good news! A fix for Saturation Fire was put in, but we forgot to add it to the notes. So it all evens out, right?

Thanks!"
Loel Lyons 10 Mar, 2016 @ 3:05pm
this is still required if you dont want to go back to the main menu, as opposed to just loading a save from a current game
Kerensky 10 Mar, 2016 @ 2:57pm
I also am NOT getting the 'load anyways' option.

I in fact specifically turned this specific mod off and tried to start, but low and behind the only button I see is 'accept' which kicks me back to the main menu.

This mod is still useful. :P
Peerless Girl 10 Mar, 2016 @ 12:22pm
Yeah, thirded there. The supposed "Load Anyway" didn't work, and since the patch has broken my saves (can't figure out which mod(s) are doing it yet). I need this to run tests. Still useful.
Outis 10 Mar, 2016 @ 11:35am
Came to post the same thing as @ADVENT
ADVENT Avenger 10 Mar, 2016 @ 10:23am
I'm not getting the "Load Anyway" in the base game, looks like this mod is still useful.
Donovan Trevos  [author] 9 Mar, 2016 @ 12:01am
@sg_paradox I had some strange edge cases when loading games that had no DLC list attached but were using DLC, but if you got it working, that's awesome. Congrats on the no override approach, that's pretty snazzy.
sq_paradox 8 Mar, 2016 @ 11:06pm
Seeing as I've released a mod that does almost the same thing as yours (the only major difference outside of avoiding class overrides is that it also removes itself from the DLC list so you can turn it off), I feel obliged to thank you. It would have taken me significantly longer had I not had your mod to look upon.

That said feel free to steal any of my code, should it pique your interest.
Donovan Trevos  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 4:41am
@UltimateFate No, there is no way to resolve inter mod conflicts at this time. If another mod steals the pause menu, it gets the pause menu and nothing else does.
UltimateFate 7 Mar, 2016 @ 4:09pm
Hi , this mod conflicts with bronzeman mod . is there a way to fix it ?
Iron Dice 6 Mar, 2016 @ 12:28pm
This is a little nerve-wracking to need, but when you do need it, it seems to work quite well. Good tool to have in the bag, for sure.
