I'm sorry if I've annoyed you, I just have ideas, and I like voicing my opinion I guess it's more like wishful thinking you know LOL.

I couldn't sleep, so I tried to look for one thing, only to find it 8 years later, well sort of, as you said before it's more of a showpiece, and I'm just rambling.

I've had these ideas for years, I just never knew where to voice them so that's why they're randomly showing up here, sorry LOL.

I know, I'm just voicing my ideas, but I was also thinking of what better game would be to set up something like this.

I mean what kind of engine would be best for this type of set up I wonder...

I doubt very much MGM would make this type of game or Amazon for that matter since they have now own the rights to all of mgm's previous titles, but who knows right now they're working on timekeepers which is a strategy Something game, usually not anything I'm interested in, but I think I might try it out when I get a steam deck.

I know this type of idea would require putting scripts in place for all of these other areas but it would reduce the amount of space needed to create new areas which would probably serve as a stability Improvement to the overall game and gameplay.

Which might even provide more resources to make the destiny even larger in scope and scale as it was in the show.

Also just like in the show, certain circumstances could take place when the ship jumps out of FTL there's a chance that the ship will be attacked by hostile aliens, where the ship will appear to get damaged so that these areas that are damaged can be fixed later after the battle was over or the ship escaped via jumping into FTL.

In the show I love the aspects when it came down to Resource Management and conflict control as the crew worked as a real crew when it came down to these circumstances one day came up.

Dude. This thing is 8 years old, at this point, I hardly expect it to work anymore. And besides, it was more of a showpiece than anything.

Or Maybe it could be the same planet, but only appear to be a different planet, like turning the sky into another color putting a planet in the sky or two sons in the sky, something like that where they remain temporarily while you are visiting that planet, then you get back to your ship and Destiny jumps again because of the time limit thing, and then you travel to the next planet which is essentially the same planet, but it looks different.

Anyway, the purpose of visiting these planets isn't just to explore the Galaxy, you are sent there because the Destiny requires certain resources in order to fix the ship's systems or unlock new areas of a ship and learn more about Destiny and its mission.

Just like everything in the show, only skipping out on all the drama and conflict between the crew.

I believe this would fix the issue when you jump into FTL so that you would not have to sit in the chair, because it was simulated that this ship took off and went somewhere via jolting the ship and may be causing some kind of blurred vision that temporary happens as the ship jumps into FTL.

However when it came to the using of the Stargate, the gate could remain in a fixed position in space, but you could transport to other planets via Stargate load door, I assume that this game will allow you to create destinations, now I'm not sure this game can do procedural generation, but that's what I had in mind.

I once thought a resource management procedurally-generated spaceship simulator game would exist for the destiny.

One that would only appear to be moving and going places, and certain scenarios would engage depending on a certain chance Gap in circumstance that would cause situations to feel as if the ship was going places.

An example would be to simulate movement of the ship when it jumps into FTL for only a brief moment, while on the outside of the ship you can see the effect of FTL travel.

The only thing that would change is the scenery outside the ship to make it appear as if it drops out of FTL into a new part of the Galaxy.

I have limited writing space so I'll stop here and continue.

I want to say, I love how you guys did this with the dupe, it's amazing! However I just have one question, how exactly can you get life support working? I figured out how to get the black hole cache on but I haven't figured out life support. So if any of you guys know how to, I'd appreciate to know, thank you!

Oh, and also if you want to jump, if you want you to go with the ship you'll need to weld a chair to the ship as explained in the description

Ok, so I found a solution to the e2 problem, if you want to jump, you'll have to put a numpad input on the console where you input the coordinates to jump, link the "Activate jump" from the e2 chip there to the numpad using the wire tool, then when you input the coordinates you simply press the button assigned to the numpad input, hope that helps to anyone reading this that wants to use this adv dupe! I will also be explaining more about the process on how to actually get the adv dupe file explained by the authors if you for some reason you haven't read the description.

You can't fly it directly, it is WAY TOO BIG.

There is a jump drive and it's coordinate based.
Description has the instructions.

There are some settings with Stargate mod you can adjust to allow more things to spawn in.

It's not a Dupe.

This is a way to get an Advaced Dupe 2 construct available on the workshop. If you have that mod enabled, you can download the link provided and put it in the right spot, you can spawn it ingame.

Please follow the instructions, and it you have any other questions, please comment.

You need the Advanced Dupe 2 tool, then select from saved blueprints/dupes, right click it to open, and paste. Conflict could explain it in better detail.

Usded the No collide World Tool (http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=114297900) and no collided the gate and the section it was in/welded to.

I don't know the command but one thing you can do is open cap settings from the tab on the right side of the spawn menu and go adjust the values to your preference. Alternativly (and what I do) subscribe to +assmod and set Admin Limits -> Off

What is the command that sets the maximum entity count to a determined value?
I ask, because everytime I paste the Desstiny in, I get some errors saying that the max count of apple cores and destiny consoles has been reached and it doesn't spawn more of them, which breaks some of the functions of the Destiny.
Help is appreciated.

Not exactly... They're essentially chairs. You can use them for AFK purposes but they do not "Freeze" people.

I make a small change when spawning the ship by linking the FTL with the timer to make it more like the show

It's the only way to get it into the gmod files. You can't easily add a .txt file (which it is) to the game unless you do this.

If you are having any trouble after that I would recommend to watch videos on youtube, particularly the tutorials on how to install and use advanced duplicator 2.

look to the leftr pane of the spawn menu. it is located in tools and under the construction section. it should be called adv. dupe 2 and then all you have to do is select the file and left click to paste.

It is in the Required Items section on the left of the page. Once you download the Destiny.txt file, place it in "Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\data\advdupe2" if the "advdupe2" is not present in the "data" folder then create it exactly as written above.
