That's what the game rule to add skill every 5 years is for. Additionally, nearly every lifestyle tree (except Wandering which is based on points of interest) features a perk that increases the skill based on fame, and at least one other perk that adds skill in other ways. For instance, +diplomacy from alliances, or +martial from devotion or battles. Learning is particularly valuable as it provides multiple skill increases, even +wandering xp.
Add a repeatable option to spend a perk point to increase the stat, makes reaching higher skill tiers more reasonable.
The current system makes a bad character even more frustrating to play.
@Iceciro This works fine on my end. Example [i.ibb.co]
@mielo Do you mean that you have 27 unspent Stewardship perk points with nowhere to spend them?
@MR.REVIVAL That's great. Nice work.
@irlVector Hey. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the mod.
I'm a little hesitant to add such a perk as that would make any existing perks that grant skill increases less desirable to unlock. However, I've been experimenting with a new interface feature that lets you convert perk points between Lifestyles. I'm not sure when it will be ready to be released, but it's something I've been working on.
@Cobr4a^ I only ever use Better Barbershop by agami. What you're seeing is just a lot of time (too much time) spent finding the right scene, lighting and character preset.
Out of curiosty did you make Taberna as well?
I don't see an AI weight system in the file.
Putting Veritas above witchcraft would fix the UI problem, but all Varitas perk will lose their effects.
Leave a comment if you have any thoughts or if you find any issues. Have fun people.
@raven This will be fixed in the next update.
@Soyut I'm not sure. Give it a try.
@finallyciv I saw your Quando Sumus comment as well. Nice work.
Love this mod. On the GUI issue, I've run Veritas and More Lifestyles together with the mod Scrollable Lifestyle Window, and it solves the issue for me. Load SLW later in the load order. ML is still in the vanilla tree style, but they work fine together. (I haven't played 1.16 with them yet though, just about to.) I would love to see a patch for them that converts ML to the Veritas style and maybe balanced them for it, if you find that interesting enough. Goes for all the other lifestyle mods, really. This mod's gold imo.
If I load your mod higher up in the load order, all the perk names and descriptions disappear, becoming blank.
Additionally, with your other mod, Hiraeth - Dynasty Legacies Overhaul, when it’s placed higher in the load order, the interface gets messed up.
I really appreciate your creativity and ideas, but the current compatibility issues make it hard for me to keep using them. I’m looking forward to your optimizations and improvements!
However, a temporary solution is to move both of those mods after Veritas in your playset. This should solve the issue you're having. Keep in mind that the interface changes made by Veritas will not carry through if you go this route.
