The Gameof Thrones Mod uses its own Call to Arms system. It will likely not be compatible

Thank you. I updated it, now the law should only be available for independent ruler.

I did some more testing with no other mods working. I was able to replicate the issue with the duke of Aquitaine and several HRE and polish dukes. Law seems to only function correctly for independent rulers and not subjects.

Just: performance 3.2, no artifact loss, title manager, and magnum opus second edition. None change laws.

Are you using any other mods?

I was playing as a French duke and switched to vassal control and it doesn't seem to do anything. I still have their levies and can't call them to arms. However if I play as an independent ruler I can call my vassals in just fine.

Finally there's a functional call to arms mod again for CK2, great work author.

I notice there a opinion malus for direct control, wouldn't it be more appropriate to give a opinion bonus for vassal control? as the default game doesn't penalise you for direct control as it would be considered the norm for feudal governance.

I'm using it with HIP without encountering any issue so far

Would it be possible to make a game rule so "vassal control" law is enforced on all feudal rulers and they can't change to "ruler control" law? Sadly I noticed pretty much all AI characters switch to ruler control a few years after game start, making this mod useful only for a short time
divann.2 7 Aug, 2024 @ 12:42pm
hey, i want make it compatible with HIP, since i'm playing with it, so i have question, is KG_government is needed here? and pseudo_theocracy_government? or is it leftovers from some other mod that you forgot to remove? maybe there's more but i only looked in feudal government file at this moment

i picked just the right time to return to the game i wanted this mod years ago!

@Rwmroy: Oh, I was just using Iqta as an example. I’d probably not enforce it there unless there is enough historical precedent to.

And thank you for elaborating. Sounds fun, especially with some of the combinations I have in mind. Will have to use this one sometime soon.

Yes it seems I may have left a few files from another mod I was using. I will correct that later this afternoon, but for the time being you may delete the ‘decisions’ and ‘events’ folder.

@Comiclove It is only for feudal now. Should it be expanded to Iqta too? With Vassal control you can potentially have way more troops in war since your vassals raise their entire levy when you call them to arms. The downside is, they may refuse if they don’t like you and you can’t use their troops to raid

BTW there is some leftover code issue with the mod it seems, resulting in errors.

The game is giving me broken options for "Sin's Visit Chamber" mod...that I don't even have. And for some reason, seduction option is unlocked for my character, even when I don't have that focus selected.

I like how this mod brings back the CK1 style of military levies and even improves it a bit. Vassals can sometimes effectively refuse to answer your call for war. And since you can't raise vassal ships (only your own ships if you own coastal provinces), you have to stay on land (and hire mercenary fleets) to ship troops around.

Well made.

Interesting mod. Does this apply to any other governments (i.e. Iqta), or just Feudalism? And is there any advantage to leaving it on Vassal Levy Control? I do see that there's an opinion malus for Sovereign Control, so I'm guessing there might be an opinion bonus.
