You need a screwdriver to upgrade a gun. Have the gun, the part, and the screwdriver in your main inventory and right click the gun.
I gave a quick look at the lua of that weird mod and I don't see why it wouldn't be compatible.
Also eww.
Well, considering that doing sprites is not an option, maybe increasing the size and changing the color/contrast of the model can help a bit, the game UI is black and with black weapons is kinda hard to see what i have equipped... Anyway, thanks for the quick answer.
In the first weeks of developing this mod I did try my hand at pixel art, and figured out very quickly that I absolutely suck at it. I can't do those tiny icons even if I tried, so I went with the tiny little screenshots of the 3d models themselves.
That's very much on purpose. Shotguns in PZ are very overpowered just by their nature, so there won't be a "silenced" shotgun in my mod.
Shotgun suppressors are almost useless in the real world too. I ripped that sound from an actual shotgun that had a suppressor on it. They're still so loud that you have to wear ear protection or you'll damage your hearing.
So my reasoning is two-fold. A "silenced" shotgun would be way too OP, and shotgun suppressors are very, VERY inefficient in the real world too.
If you had just checked that mod's page you'd already know that the dev is making Ammo Maker compatible with my mod :)
In SP just speed the game up when you're converting them.
If you want to cheat, then you can browse into the mod's scripts folder and change the time of the recipe to whatever you'd like :D
I'm glad you're enjoying my stuff.
And yeah it's something I felt I really had to make, because I just couldn't find a good balance for my style from the gun mods that are out there.
Honestly, not all guns are created equally. That's why everyone primarily runs magazine fed auto loaders rather than tube fed lever actions and wheel guns. It's also why pdw type weapons are starting to get more popular than a standard pistol today. We gravitate towards whatever is more effective.
Again, I'm not trashing your mod or all your work. And it's your mod. You do what you think is best, I'm not trying to tell you what to do. I was just asking. I do appreciate your time and your mod.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
As for ballance, if the ammo thing isn't enough, the semi autos might be an incredibly rare find outside of like a police station or gun store. And you only get to loot those places once.
The AA12 could be super op(as it was designed to be) but it's only at military locations, and still a rare find. So you may find it but only 1 or 2 mags or something, if it even spawns. Sure the AA12 would make short work of a group, but it's loud and once the mags are empty, you better hope you youbgptbclesr or have an exit strategy to get away from the hoard you just drew in.
I could always reduce their recoil but then I'd have to somehow balance that out. Maybe lowering their damage stats or something.
But being able to headshot 3-4 zombies with one click is just bonkers, so I released the mod with the shotguns being a bit more nerfed than they are in other mods.
B42 will introduce a more complex Aiming system which I look forward to. I want my guns to be a bit more realistic and the devs are taking care of a lot of it for me lol.
I realize this is a game, so guns can't be 1:1 to irl, but I don't see a point in putting a gun in if it's not even going to be close to it's irl counterpart.
I haven't spent a lot of time with this mod yet, just messed around with a few pistols, rifles, and the shotguns.
Not dissing your mod, either. I like it. Strong competition with vfe. Atleast you have weapon lights and silencers. I'm just curious.
If that is how you want to make the mod then ok. Do what you want to do
Under barrels?
You mean like some silliness like grenade launchers?
Those won't be happening.
You need a screwdriver in your main inventory.
Also yes. My guns & attachments are not designed to be compatible with any other gun mod.
Not going through all that trouble lol.
That's way past July 1993, so no.
I wonder what the total rating has to be to get 5 stars because we're at 96% positive lol.
That's coming in B42 courtesy of the Indie Stone.
The framework for that has been right there in the base PZ files for well over 2 years, so it's nice that they're finally adding them into the game lol.
I'll probably have to re-categorize some of the attachments once they come in, but that's not going to be a problem.
.44 Magnum weapons got a bit of a level up, and so did the Winchester M1887.
Relevant info in both the Change Notes and Update Rambles.
I already answered this one but here goes again.
The following guns work with Immersive Hunting:
-Remington M870
-Remington Coach Gun
-Long Ranger
-Remington M788
Probably not. I see how other mods do bayonets and it looks clunky as hell in lua. If it was possible to just switch the push attack into a bayonet stab, that would be a different story.
Reloading XP grind is now halved.
You're welcome.
Or I'm sorry.
Anyone have recommendations for compatible reloading mods? I have Ammo Maker and it seem to work fine, though the amount of powder is inconsistent with this mod's new 7.62x39 and 7.62x51.
Real Full Auto is no longer necessary (or even applicable) in this mod.
@baritan
It's been a long time since I looked at MP server settings, but isn't PVP damage something that admins can set?
There are no special options in my mod for that, if that's what you were asking.
Apparently yes.
I don't use that mod myself but someone else said that it's compatible.
That was fast, lol.
Good job, hope it works.
