Does this mod still work? Or is there a mod that does a similar function?
Hades  [autor] 7 mai 2018 la 17:29
There is no way to distinguish a players location alas... it's just a timer value that can be manipulated.
Orthopaktis 7 mai 2018 la 16:55
Is there any way you could make a version or a separate mod that severely reduced the frequency/size or outright removed meteors on planets with atmospheres? I love this setup for space but on planets it just leaves infinite craters everywhere.
Hades  [autor] 11 mart. 2018 la 17:11
No idea.. .it follows vanilla save mechanics, it just alters when the event occurs nothing else.
coolguy2016 11 mart. 2018 la 14:53
does the 2 hour timer save when i leave? or do i have to be in 1 session for 2 hours just to get some meteors
Dark_453 4 mart. 2017 la 0:29
woot, Thank you.. Still Working.
Hades  [autor] 17 dec. 2016 la 15:56
yup
Arodoid 17 dec. 2016 la 7:35
Is this still working?
Hades  [autor] 24 sept. 2016 la 17:47
They've changed that in the last update or 2.... now the meteors are nowhere near as laser accurate. And turrets seem to be destroying them more reliably.
Valyn 24 sept. 2016 la 12:09
I was refering to the code used by KSH, they have it set to spawn the meteor storms on player location and move at max seed toward player, not in random direction near players.
Hades  [autor] 18 sept. 2016 la 1:51
Just for the record, the source file reference for this mod is still unchanged, and the mod is still 100% compatible with it. If the mod doesn't behave as described it's an issue with KSH not reading in the file or a bug with the game.
Valyn 3 sept. 2016 la 12:12
so if you look that the code, I believe is says 'set max speed toward player' or something like that. so unless you are moving the storm is always in your area and headed right for the tiny region of the planet or space you are in
Juggernaut 21 iul. 2016 la 11:04
Biggest annoyance of meteors is that they feel like they occur directly around you on purpose...I'd rather they were sort of something you forget, that your server is still doing, but you have that remote chance of being in one sometimes. The way it is now, every spawn is targeted at you and that's just silly. Most people just want it off!
Hades  [autor] 17 iun. 2016 la 22:41
Keen likes to reintroduce bugs like this lol. Best to disable storms for now... I'll take a look at the code for any changes but I reckon it's most likely a bug in their side again.
KritusMennes 17 iun. 2016 la 20:43
I think the latest update broke this... it was working awesome, but now my base is looking a bit like swiss cheese with meteor strikes every 10 minutes... If you can fix it, that'd be awesome because I love it.
Hades  [autor] 8 mart. 2016 la 18:29
That should still work... but it seems to get broken/ignored every other update. Best you can do is try.
Aku92 8 mart. 2016 la 8:48
ok, what about the meteor timer, and thanks for getting back to me
Hades  [autor] 7 mart. 2016 la 16:08
The devs still haven't put NPC ships back into the dx12 game
Aku92 7 mart. 2016 la 12:42
is this dead
Hyperion 27 ian. 2016 la 11:31
I've never encountered an NPC ship and I'm pretty sure they were enabled on each world that I've played. Can the intervals be changed somehow? Or could you implement some chat commands for it, perhaps?
Ministery Of MOM 28 dec. 2015 la 16:07
Anyway to tinker the spawn settings myself? I would like something like meteor showers every 5 to 10 hours.
Kastuk 9 sept. 2015 la 4:48
Need to change meteor fire tails to something not-firing.
Nate 14 aug. 2015 la 9:59
No not after resub, I can't run it with this mod subscribed or I get nonstop meteors so I have to not use it
Hades  [autor] 13 aug. 2015 la 4:03
So it works again after uninstall and resub? If so, that is wierd!
Nate 12 aug. 2015 la 20:29
I have tried it without any other mods and still no change and when I remove it it also has meteor storms nonstop. I had to completely unsubscribe and delete the mod files which is just weird
Hades  [autor] 12 aug. 2015 la 7:21
Nothing has changed in the source code... so it's still valid unless the devs broke it with a recent patch. Have you tired to run it without other mods... maybe they are overwriting it?
Nate 9 aug. 2015 la 21:01
Is this mod still being updated? I used it today and now I am getting meteor storms repeatedly on normal
Mikel71 4 apr. 2015 la 12:00
Thanks bud for the quick response on it, I def use this when playin a solo game, almost forgot how freqent they are normally, My server I played on didnt have them on :) I will turn them back on and give ya update later tonite.
Hades  [autor] 4 apr. 2015 la 8:39
Ok, I've just updated it again. Devs have migrated from event type XML to using nested subtypes.
Mikel71 4 apr. 2015 la 8:08
Just start a new survival game, after the initial waiting period for storms, the first one came then, every 30 secs after that, meteors set on "normal" as stated below back in febuary,
Hades  [autor] 9 febr. 2015 la 3:06
I just updated with the new cataclysm mode timers... but you shouldn't be seeing swarms every 30 seconds. let me know if it keeps happening
Eagle☣Cat.exe 8 febr. 2015 la 17:44
Normal meteor spawns on new worl, meteor storm right off the bat, then another storm 30 seconds later, and repeats
Hades  [autor] 7 febr. 2015 la 15:58
You probably turned them off in your world settings.
shadow onion 7 febr. 2015 la 8:14
im not getting any meteor spawns or any cargo ships
Hades  [autor] 25 ian. 2015 la 16:40
It seems to be working now... I'm not seeing the 20 minute default spawns anymore. I haven't played a full 2 hour session for a while now (because of other stability issues) but it seems to be a lot more time maybe the full 2 hours between spawns.
Wayward Will 25 ian. 2015 la 11:12
You must be tired of getting naged about this but what is the latest news? Does it still not affect asteroid timers correctly? Or has that been fixed since? Thank you for all your hard work. Cheers.
Hades  [autor] 25 dec. 2014 la 17:06
Phand (dev rep) acknowledged it... I'm praying 1.062 patch has fixed it.
Lewtz 25 dec. 2014 la 16:21
is the meteor timing still bugged?
MagnusEffect 8 dec. 2014 la 18:51
thank you for your continued efforts on getting this addressed, Storm. I really like what you are attempting to do with this.
Hades  [autor] 4 dec. 2014 la 16:33
It provides features as described above in the description.
Hades  [autor] 3 dec. 2014 la 0:59
The meteor shower vallues are still not being read in by the game... it's a bug. :(
The NPC ship timers do work though.
MagnusEffect 2 dec. 2014 la 17:08
@ Storm: is this still not working correctly?
Hades  [autor] 23 nov. 2014 la 17:24
It's a developers bug... neither the mod or altering the game folder settings work :(
Lonestarr_Sixer 23 nov. 2014 la 16:04
Yeah, I'm getting that error myself, how can it be fixed?
Hades  [autor] 22 nov. 2014 la 21:38
There is currently a bug with the game that is not reading in this config settings properly.
FurtiveSage 14 nov. 2014 la 10:03
Thank you for the information. Being new to the workshop, my skill is tweaking the setting from someone like yourself who as a clue how to create mods. Thanks again. I really the the PVE concept with survival and am looking for any ideas to increase the content and randomness of survival!
Hades  [autor] 13 nov. 2014 la 16:51
If you edit the mod you can... or you can configure the files directly in your SE data folder (the file called.... ugh not at my PC right now... its in the same folder as SpawnGroups.sbc)
FurtiveSage 12 nov. 2014 la 10:52
Do you have the ability to make changes to those timers?
Hades  [autor] 29 sept. 2014 la 0:13
You can check the log file for the game... it should say what mods are loaded successfully. Other than that you can do it the way I do... put a stopwatch on and make sure meteors don't appear more than once every 2 hours :)
