There is a space in eventNames, misspelling. Is that from you by accident, or actually in the mod code?

Though it sounds like a mod conflict; try to open the stargate mod's folder and look for the SoundDefs (with a text reading program like Notepad), and then tell me what name of sound the "zat gun" uses.
I'm sick at the moment - got a fever, but I'll get to it in a moment.

The gun sounds work fine for me though. Provide me a short error log and try to recreate the bug, make sure the mod is just below the DLC's in your mod load order, and please do this without any other mods. (Except HugsLib)
I'll add Rimmu-Nation and Combat Extended to my lists then, some other friends have asked.
(I have yet to do Augmented Vanilla)
I considered doing that yeah! Since you asked, I'll definitely put it up on the list.
Right now I'm working on Rimsenal.. it's a pretty big mod, especially with it's cousin-mods.
(btw this could also work for the Cryoweapons mod too)
(oh and btw i love the charge weapons sound u made, especially the windup(?) at the end of every shot!)

I wanted to edit Vanilla's gun sounds but strangely they resist my efforts.
