I checked your new Battlefield 6 Hitmarkers addon, here the sound works reliably, but is way to quiet. I you could add a volume setting, this would fix it.

Did you change something with the sound? I can not really tell if it is your addon, as I changed some other things on the server. But it seems that now instead of the regular sound, I most of the time hear a very muted "uumpf".

I use server forced setting, sound only. If I turn visuals on, I can see that the shot is registered. Turned off armor, headshot and kill indicator, made no difference.

It would be so great if one could change sound files..

Wow, fastest fix ever. Works now, no more errors in server console, and nice hitsounds.

Should I inform the Zbase EZ2 dev about the case, so he can fix the cause? So you can take out the dirty workaround..

Uh yeah, there is the world of standardisation, and then there is Gmod.... ;-)


Did some more testing, it seems bug only happens when the case is: EZ2 & npc_combine_s (careful, some metrocopsin there are combine_s in disguise..)
Other Zbase Combines - even amored ones - seem to work fine.

Will report back if I find any other NPC´s that cause this kind of problem.

Anyhow, thx for the fast reply! Good to see this addon beeing maintained, you never know what garry himself breaks on the next update.

On x64 , worked perfect until I added Zbase NPC. Spam in server console:

I don´t hear ANY hitsounds when hitting ANY Zbase NPC, any weapon. Error only shows when the target is combine, on metrocops will not show it.

Hope this helps to hunt down the bugger so Zbase is supported.

Some suggestions: Chooseable Sounds for normal hit, amored hit, headshot and kill. Placing WV files with the right names in the right places would do fine.

For some reason hates the EZ2 Combine Soldiers and Elites exclusively and will error out the moment any damage is dealt to them. It doesn't effect EZ2's Metrocops and other ZBase NPCs for some reason.
