Are you planning to have dialogue changes for Empress aswell?
This mod is truly incredible. I'm going to go and replay the whole game as Empress, now.
I got motivated to play the whole game with her, and only found like 3 bugs.
I also never expected you replaced every single animation from Hat Kid. Empress looks so lovely! Outstanding animators and programming work!
Though there is a custom animation for stitching a new hat.
If you don't have the Bazooka Badge, you need to either buy or equip the Laser badge.
For now, enjoy the mini-update.
Empress can now Dance
Also ahhhhhh, that makes sense (re: cutscenes)!
If you have a mod that changes the Spaceship Hubmap to something else, i've heard that may cause crashes, but I've not heard enough reports to confirm.
For Context about Cutscenes:
Most cutscenes actually use newly spawned NPCs rather than the player themselves. Currently I have it set up so that Cutscenes will use the Hatkid NPC for any cutscenes i've not made any Empress animations for (Which is all of them, except for one).
AFAIK, it shouldnt cause any crashes, especially after you've left the level, but stranger things have happened.
Not sure if it's something that even *could* be addressed, and this mod's still rly damn cool anyhow, but I figured I'd at least document these bugs.
P.S. Just a fun side note: I've just beaten Down With The Mafia at the time of writing this (same cutscene glitch btw,) and the boss fight with well, Mafia Boss is *shockingly tricky.* Turns out being BEEG isn't all it's cracked up to be when the Mafia Ball attack gets involved XD
Additionally, it looks like trying to load any other level as Empress after the aforementioned temporary model switch happens... apparently crashes the game. My *best guess* would be that, even tho it APPEARS to switch you back to Empress when reloading into the hub, the game **thinks** you're Hat Kid and gets incredibly confused. I'm still early in checking the levels, but using the PlayerSwap mod to switch to Hat/Bow Kid then immediately back to Empress before entering another level *seems* to correct the bug... at least until the next cutscene-originated model switch occurs.

you can also put them in the description
also just noticed the Title says A Cat in Time UwU
There is now a Config option that speeds Empress up a bit when activated.
Enjoy!
Online Party Empresses should also have actual animations now and not be floating:
Their crouch and scooters are pretty glitchy, but because of how Online Party code is, I can't really fix it.
Huh, interesting to know that's happening with the Boop emote too. I know it's also an issue with the CheatingTheRace intro but thought it might've been isolated.
Might be tied to Taunt calls in code, or something with my idle. I'll look into it more.
I suspect I know why ghost players are floating, will look into a possible fix.
The rocket launcher desyncing on ghost players is a bit of a mystery to me though.
I did want to mention a funny bug though, if you use the boop emote, you will warp upwards a little bit and you can keep doing this to slowly reach places you normally couldn't.
And for online party if you haven't looked into it, I think the ghost players using empress are floating above the ground a little, along with the rocket launcher not syncing.
can't wait to see what new stuff comes to this mod
