Would you be able to add a way to link specific controllers to specific roofs? Similar to how the Bad Hygiene mod links toilets to beds. I looked into the code and it is way beyond what I'm able to add. Thanks!

You know what would be cool? A glass operable roof, or an operable roof with a grow lamp pillar!

Correction to Previous Feature Request Post as the door levers and buttons appear to be tied to the Doors extended mod. So with that in mind feature request 3 could potentially be handled by a patch that would allow Operable Roofs to have compatibly with doors extended levers without a door controller. Alternatively make a more expensive version of the door levers that work exclusively with roofs

3. Ability to Link the Roof Controller to Pillars / Gantry Doors the way that auto-doors and the doors extended work with Levers and Buttons? So you could have one roof controller handle all your Operable Roofs.

Some Feature Requests for this great mod:

1.Gantry Roof Doors that is more like a wall device that is 1x3, 1x9, 1x11 that extends it's roof up to 11 tiles in a direction? This would mean you could put one on either side of a hanger style area and make a 11x22 wide hanger bay for landing bigger SRTS or Smaller SOS2 ships in them under a protected roof. I could see more advanced / expensive versions that take significantly more materials to make, etc.

2. Option to Add Ceiling lights to the constructed roofs that would light the area below them so you could keep areas lit without having to put things on the ground that could block a ship landing.

3. Ability to Link the Roof Controller to Pillars / Gantry Doors the way that auto-doors and the doors extended work with Levers and Buttons? So you could have one roof controller handle all your Operable Roofs.

My suggestion would be for a 3x1 wall piece that removes a 3x6 section of roof to the side of it; or a 3x7 pieces above it?
That way shuttle landing pads could be fashioned.

@Mlie Perfect! Those two were my big wants anyway - I tend not to use the Solar roofing, as it can be a bit of a TPS hit if overdone (and I don't normally need it anyway, personally). >.<

srts are size like i.e. 2x3 everything else is a sprite that clips with columns, thats all, so if you make columns invisible, they shouldnt clip and it wont looke like columns are in SRTS ships wings

well that unfortunately make sense, maybe you can make other kind of pillars, invisible, so that would at least cover "cliping" part we dont need to see these colums, right?

area covered by one pillar is too small when i.e. using SRTS, biggest ship doesnt fit under 4 of them, so i suggest make not only feature like Alexander suggested, like starting from roof corner, not middle, but also even bigger area
in addition, range where column can stand away from controller is too short, to cover whole roof over SRTS you have to put some columns where they are not in range. this need to be adjusted

also one more thing, im using fluffys breakdown, but controller is loosing maintenance way faster than other things, and i have such problem only with this mod. some maybe something in controller def?

Temperature management, "soaking wet" bad thought prevention, and lighting are all well and good, but this mod really shines when paired with others.
I use it with SRTS or SOS2 to protect perishable trade goods from weather (and with RimAtomics to protect my "yeet the hot waste into the ocean" pod launchers & their express corridors into the containment building from drop-pod raiders).

Well you have sun lamps right? They turn on at dawn and off at night, automatically. Would it be possible to add a button to the console to open during the day and close at night automatically, it would be that simple to set up a sun room which retains some warmth at night when the roof is up.

This mod is so cool. Does this version feature the entirely bizarre resource costs that it used to? Like, 1 component, 3000 steel, and 5 plasteel or something? I couldn't get my head around that... Why make a super cool mod and then just half-ass the final step? It's not hard to just shrug and say "Eh, 500 steel, 12 components, 300w" or something. Why just choose random numbers of random resources??? Anyways, thanks Mlie. You're a genuine legend, you have no idea how many tens of thousands of hours of enjoyment you've brought to the world!
