These shields are just applied to all players in this addon, the shield code is from the Draconic Base. You could set up shield definitions for some kind of serverside code, maybe pick-up entities or something, that apply them to players. Draconic's wiki details how the shield system works.

Is there a way to make it so each player could toggle on if they have a shield? I've been wanting to have some people on my server have shields and some not and these shields are rad

I highly doubt Draconic is the source of your issue as this sounds like something is breaking the input system, which Draconic does not mess with, that said I'll still look into it to be sure.

It even broke some other stuff, like im trying to use the flashlight, but it doesn't work. I tried reloading guns, but doesn't work. I have no idea why is this conflicting with the other addon...

This addon is conflicting with the BO3 Exosuit Movement addon, which causes the latter addon to spew out console errors.

Shield is invisible except for some particle effects, but functions as expected. The only two addons enable on my singleplayer are Draconic Base and this addon. The console log is as follows (Shortened for Steam's Character Limit):

That would mean that addon is circumventing EntityTakeDamage and applying damage in a way that doesn't get passed into that hook. There is nothing anyone can do about that.

could there be an option for this to act like base game armor? i use R.A.P.D *basically realistic damage* and the shield doesnt protect me at all, but armor does.

love this, its superior to the halo shields mod, and as a user of tfavox its wonderful to have my character not screaming out in pain anymore when taking shield damage!! :>

but i have one wish for change; the shield regeneration sound is too harsh, both in loudness and tone, it sounds like a big heavy lightsaber being swung. so some alternative options like a more gentle sounding shield woooop or ability to turn regen sound off would be really nice.

The effect is not specific to any playermodel

@otacon0505 Run "lua_run print(Player(1))" in the console, and keep increasing the number by one until you see your own player ID. Then run "lua_run DRC:AddOverShield(Player(x), y)" where x is the player number you found and y is the amount of overshield you want.

Someone needs to make a SENT that does this...

The shields shouldn't be casting shadows, are you sure you don't have cl_draw_own_shadow set to 1 by accident? I know some mods tend to flick that on for some reason.

can you make it so energy shielding can be applied on NPC's? Im trying to make a sort of like HALO battle and i got spartan NPCs and covenant NPCs. The only thing im missing is the spartans need energy shields and i was just wondering if it was possible for you to do.

Those commands would force the game to believe you are running on an NVIDIA GPU, and that the gpu is a GTX 680. I would assume that such a parameter may default your game to a lower DirectX mode whenever you launch it.

So it turns out this was the problem

I used this for more high quality shadows than low quality ones

I haven't encountered my Ghost ever since, removing this

I am trying it out right now with both the thirdperson system mentioned below and the playermodels you mentioned and I am unable to reproduce any T-Posing shield problems, so it is likely another addon causing this issue.
